I saw a very good starter list on a recent blog post at Judie Hughes’ Gear Diary (check out her blog; it’s got a lot of great articles!), and revisited a recent post on JKOntheRun. Besides TCPMP, pRSSReader, and Egress, I have eReader, HandyShopper, iGuidance, and Magic Button installed. I’ll blog more about these apps later. But I never did review it, and I probably should. It is a great cable/cord organizer and turns one power outlet into three. It is also perfect fo PDAs that don't have a cradle - which is most of mine, anymore.
I found a <a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/85a0/?cpg=cj" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow">much cooler looking one (same brand) in black from ThinkGeek</a>! :-)

You know, I’ve had this PowerStation for years! In that pic... there appears a "power station"? Have you ever done a review for that item? I'm sure everyone thinking about purchasing one is interested in what you think about it.

Hey Judie,

In that pic… there appears a “power station”? I use my Qtek 9100 (you'll know it as the Wizard) mainly with ListPro for my shopping needs (though it drives my wife crazy seeing me tapping away on it) and in the morning the very first thing after pushing off my alarm is to sync sbp weather and prssreader (free from http://pda.jasnapaka.com/prssr ) with all my feeds so I can drink my morning coffee and read the news.
You can also set it up to download the page related to the feed, which is great for browsing on the train in off-line mode.

That is a great list of applications there, there were I few like magic button that I’m gonna check out, thanks for that.

I use my Qtek 9100 (you’ll know it as the Wizard) mainly with ListPro for my shopping needs (though it drives my wife crazy seeing me tapping away on it) and in the morning the very first thing after pushing off my alarm is to sync sbp weather and prssreader (free from <a

Absolutely first to get loaded:
Ilium's ListPro (THE list software for PPC - although I wish ShadowPlan was ported to PPC...oops, sorry, Windows Mobile)
Ilium's eWallet (For the same reasons you mentioned - plus I got a discount when I bought it because I had ListPro...)
www.not-big-deal.com Patiences (a truly addicting card game - I've played thousands of games, and have the stats to prove it!)
Tillanosoft's tGetFile.dll (in order to support...)
Tillanosoft's PocketNotepad (a great text editor, for when the word processor is just too much)
Resco Explorer (I have the 2003 version - still great software though, and incredibly more versatile than WM File Explorer)
Fann Sotware's lgtEditor (for HTML coding...)
MS's Pocket Streets (because it was free with my desktop version, and now because I can't travel anywhere in NA without first downloading maps - it has helped me out numerous times....but will be replaced with the next step - true GPS software)
Pelmar's WisBar (terrific - for my purposes - task editor)
nakka's tdLaunch (Home screen plugin that lets me add icon shortcuts for any program I wish)
and of course....
TCPMP.....because there's always time to watch a feature length movie or two! (the best video player that I have used on a pda)
There are other programs - mostly games, such as Snails, Dots, DiamondMine, etc - that always end up on my PPC, but the above list is my "must have" software...at least for now!

Okay, I’ll bite…..

Absolutely first to get loaded:<br

I have 4,000+ contacts and a heavy calendar so I have gone a bit barebones on my T-Mobile SDA. I like the OMAP Clock v.2 to speed up the processor (without locking it up) and Tweaks 2k2. I have tried a lot of programs for the PPC (my other phone is a PPC 6700) and Smartphone and find that I rely on my IE browser for most things I need to do and MS Outlook.
I only sync over the air as I would get corrupted too often when I sync'ed with Active Sync too. Still use Active Sync for the SDA when I want to load programs but I love wi-fi and over the air sync.

Need more memory for programs that must be loaded on the phone to work better than on a memory card!
