Added 11/15: This give-away is now closed. The winners are GreatDay (blue extended case) and gt2697 (olive regular battery case).

Thank you for participating!

Now that I have posted the Motorola Q review, I now have two gorgeous recently reviewed Vaja cases for a Q that I no longer have.

I have an Olive Vitelino for the Q with regular battery…

I’d like to give each of them away to a reader that owns a Q.

Is that you?

If you would like to win one of these beautiful cases, please post a couple of sentences replying to this post about “what you like most about your Q”

Be sure to let me know whether you would like the olive (regular battery) or blue (extended battery) case.

I’ll close the contest on November 15th, at 5:00pm Central US time, and I’ll even cover the winner’s shipping. :-)

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

I thought i would miss a touchscreen (and yes, occasionally i do), but what i like most about my Q is that it honestly makes a touch screen unnecessary AND it is a great phone. That was my dilemma while shopping—how to find a really good phone what tould allow the functions i was accustomed to with my PDA, without having to hold a brick to my ear. Is it the perfect solution? No, but it would be one step closer with a beautiful Vaja extended battery-capable case.

Having come from a few PPC based devices im the past, I was ready for a change to something that just did what I needed it to do. The Q has been a fantastic device and the email side is where I love it. With the AKU2 update, the push email is fantastic and being able to slip this thin device in any pocket whether it is jeans or a suit really makes it remarkable and great for my needs!

I have tried different phones over the years, most lacking in easy contact management and either poor or no schedule management. With the Q both my and my wife’s schedule can be sync’d and we no longer have to wonder about our plans for the weekend, etc. After playing with the phone the battery issue was he only thing that didn’t come up to par, but the ext. battery helps a lot. Now for me (and particularly my wife) the Q has replaced an MP3 player/iPod (TCPMP with AAC plug in), video player (same program) and wallet pictures all in one. I even put some freeware games on her phone for when they are delayed and the kids need some entertainment. I have yet to find a good case solution, originally ruling out the Vaja cases due to cost.
    Thanks!

Forgot to metion on my original post, I prefer the Blue case as I use the extended battery most of the time. However, I am not picky!

The Q has fit my lifestyle to a ‘T’. I’m a texting maven and I love having a QWERTY keyboard on such a slim device. What I like most about the Q is the messaging aspect. Using the text/email application, I’m able to type out longer and more elaborate messages. Since I can access it and easily type them, I’m never hesitant to send one off to my friends and family. Thank goodness my boyfriend is on the same network, otherwise my bill would be through the roof!

Other things I thought I’d mention, the harder-to-press keys are a plus when I’m storing it in my purse, except I still end up doing the ‘Home+Space’ combo to lock the phone out of habit now. As a phone, the Q is decent; it’s easy enough to make and receive calls. The PDA aspect is more than sufficient, allowing me to add all the details about my contacts that I need along with scheduling important dates. In terms of form, the Q is a little too sharp but is indeed very solid. I feel that if I’m ever attacked, I could grab the Q and use it for self defense, and do some serious damage!

Last but not least, the Olive Vitelino matches my flats perfectly! =)
