G-A just sent a link to his latest Nihon Car test drive, featuring the drool-worthyHonda NSX. He has been teasing me for over a month about how he was going to get to drive this car on an airstrip. Not fair!
G-A says, “In a market which is mostly based on higher horsepower, Honda came with a different and very interesting approach and this actually is where the name NSX came from: New Sportscar eXperimental. The aim was to create “user-friendly” super car with excellent performances, especially on the race track, and this regardless of the configurations.”
“Back in the 90s, Ferrari had its F348 seen as the best Super Car available on the market and while everybody was starring at the Italian beauty, Honda came up with higher performances in a beautiful body as well!!”
Indeed! Excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin…
I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
A 1,000 word, 50 picture homage to the NSX and Acura not mentioned one time?

That’s because it was called the Acura NSX only in North America & Hong Kong, it was the Honda NSX everywhere else. G-A is in Japan.

They did a good job. I got to drive my brother-in-law’s NSX once. It was truly a user-friendly supercar! Comfortable, smooth, and extremely responsive.
