Special PDA Applications in the Gear Diary Store

Posted on 06 December 2006 by

I just received an email from Steve Howard, the Gear Diary Store manager, saying:

“Just a short note to mention a few special apps that are now available…
First up is v3.0 of Airscanner Antivirus which will be available exclusively through MobiHand-powered stores through the month of December.  This antivirus software for Pocket PC and Smartphone devices won the Pocket PC Magazine “Best Security Software of 2005” and was a finalist in the 2006 competition.

Second is Motion Apps, mOcean 3 – a major upgrade of the iPod lookalike/workalike multimedia player for Palm OS devices. This new version will also be available exclusively on the MobiHand network through the month of December. mOcean 3 lets you enjoy music, photos, videos, audiobooks, podcasts, and internet radio on your Treo.

And last, but not least, is the addition of one of the leading Palm OS/PPC apps to our catalog.  We’ve just added Worldmate 2005 Professional Edition for Palm OS

and Worldmate 2006 Professional Edition for Pocket PC to our catalog.

Worldmate is a comprehensive suite of information and planning services for travelers. This application consistently receives outstanding reviews, is one of the top-selling mobile applications, and was just named the top travel application for 2006 by Pocket PC Magazine.  It’s taken us a while to get this app added to our catalog and we expect it to quickly become a big seller in our network.”

The Gear Diary grand opening sale is going on until December 10th – so don’t forget that you can save 20% on all software purchases by using the code GEAR20.

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
