L E X Announces His Pocket PC Alarm Fix

Posted on 27 December 2006 by

[Ed. note: I received this email today, perhaps the mentioned fix will be helpful to Gear Diary readers.]

Hi Judie,

I just submitted this article to PocketPC Thoughts, but so what if you post it first?  :-)

I’m one frustrated PPC user with the continued inability of WM5 to reliably sound reminder alarms.

I’ve created a unique, foolproof OS fix and the attachment says it all. It is thus far, the only way to have reliable reminder alarms from a WM device.

Announcing ‘AlarmFix’.

After years of software development, Microsoft has continued to produce Mobile operating systems that cannot produce reliable reminder alarms.  Our operating system patch is certified to work with every Windows Mobile operating system Microsoft has ever created or will ever create.  Users will find this application easy to use and completely reliable.  Alarms always sound at the time they are set.  Some users have reported difficulty viewing the PPC screen but a fix is expected in our next version.  Currently only available in landscape mode.  Trial version not available.  No unlock codes are necessary.  Application is ready to use upon purchase.  Can be installed directly on the Pocket PC without using ActiveSync or CAB files.  Installation can usually be completed in 4 seconds.  Various ‘skins’ available for a customized look and feel.  Inquire at your favorite retailer today.

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
