By now, I think everyone knows that anytime you purchase something from the Gear Diary store, I get a percentage which goes toward new review hardware and travel to shows. Clinton Fitch wrote this morning to let me know about something Mike and the gang at Smartphone Thoughts are doing. And just as Clinton has asked his readers, I am going to ask all of you do to do something for me…
If you are a Smartphone owner, please do not purchase from the Gear Diary Store in January!
Okay, why am I saying this? Because I want you to go over to my friends at Smartphone Thoughts and buy from their store. Because for the month of January, Smartphone Thoughts is donating 100% of their commissions to Ronald McDonald House Charities. That could be hundreds if not thousands of dollars that could be given to this worthwhile organization, all thanks to you using your buying power.
Here is an excerpt from the RMHC About page for those that might not be familiar with the good work that they do:
The three core programs of RMHC – the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile – are focused on helping families in need. Our cornerstone Ronald McDonald House program began in 1974 based on a simple idea: Provide a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that time, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a Ronald McDonald House.
Head over to Smartphone Thoughts and read the full details. After that, pull out your Visa or MasterCard and get that Smartphone software or accessory and know you are helping!
