Not For Those Afraid of Heights

This has got to be the strangest restaurant I have ever seen, it is the “Dinner In The Sky“.

Located in Brussels, Belgium, the restaurant is a giant platform with seating very similar to a diner counter arrangement. This whole platform is lifted by a heavy duty crane into the sky and suspended at a distance of 164 feet.

The platform is open with no walls… up to 22 diners are strapped into their seats very much like on a amusement park ride. In the middle is typically a staff of three, chef, waiter, and entertainer.

The restaurant is targeted for parties or and VIP events so don’t expect to book a reservation for two. Although, if you got money to burn… it would make for that ultimate date.

Here is a video of the experience.

What if you have to use the restroom?!

Wow, that’s really slick. I’d love to try that. Very unique. I think it’d be a lot of fun!

And if you had to use the restroom… well, I’d feel very sorry for the people down below, he he… :O

Do you have to wear the silly paper hats like the people around the table have on?

You know, Jerry’s right! Now that I look at it again I have to say it looks more like the chefs are all sitting around, and the three VIPs are standing in the middle!

Maybe the silly hats are part of the experience? Once they got you up there, you pretty much have to do what they tell you. LOL. ;)
