If you are like me, used to bringing your laptop PC to your bed and typing all night long in a dark room, you may need to work with a PC companion like the “Spyker USB Light”.

This is a French product, the official site link is here for reference. “Spyker USB Light” is USB 1.1/2.0 supported. (Nonsense, isn’t it? Who cares it will work on USB 1.1 or 2.0 as long as it got the +5V power supplied?)

Spyker USB Light is a combination of a USB-powered cylinder LED light tube and a clip. The light tube contains two high intensity white light LEDs and the surface of the cylinder is a rough, flat, non-glare finishing but it keeps a transparent, clear area of about 30 degrees for light emitting.

With the clip, you are able to put this USB light to anywhere you like. You may put it at the top of the LCD panel of your notebook PC…

put it on the left or right side…

put it on central, corner…and in variable angles that fit your needs.

The color of light is very white, with high illumination.

Unlike my snake tube USB LED light which is heavy, darker and emits a fuzzy and narrow angle illumination blue light; the “Spyker USB Light” is much lighter, brighter and easier to use. It can be adapted to use with any angle, and to be applied in any place.

The price of the “Spyker USB Light” is US$ 8, which is quite affordable. It can be ordered from the Brando Workshop.

Since Larry was a child he has always been curious about the world of electronics. Right after reading the biography of the greatest inventor Thomas Edison, he made up his mind to become a person with a high-tech background that would be capable of inventing the greatest products in the world; its not only a goal, but also the dream of his life, a dream that has never died. Larry has spent a lot of time and interest in researching PDA technologies. Besides, keeping up with and studying them, Larry is an administrator of the popular Taiwanese site Palm Is Life (which has well over 36,000 members) and he also has a PDA hardware DIY web site. Larry is always looking for ways to improve the electronics devices, consumer products, even the vehicles he owns, trying to make them even more functional and convenient. He believes that this is the spirit which a high-tech person must have.
