Several recent requests have been for a more mobile-friendly version of the site; so when Mitchell pointed out a WordPress plugin that did it, I was happy to oblige…
So here is the main screen:

Here’s the view when there is a picture inside an article:
And here’s the bottom of the screen with an option to go to the full size site:
Pretty nifty and easy to view, right?
I am still working out a few of the glitches, however – like how “Recent Posts” are the only things that seem to properly open. It’s okay though – we’ll get it worked out. In the meantime, much appreciation goes to Alex King for his plugins. I’ve noticed a few others I might like to try.
I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

I know, Alex King does the best WP plugins available, right? He definitely deserves a BIG plug. Great job on the site, keep it up Judie!

The mobile version of the main worked a few days ago on my Nokia 9500 running the Opera browser, now its back to loading the full normal page with all the graphics. The articles and reviews are loading the mobile versions.

Okay – there is some IE6 glitch to where any page but the main is coming up on desktop browsers as the mobile edition. Grrrr. All will be fixed soon – hopefully!
