Necobi, one of the members at the Palm Is Life Forum, took part in their recent Palm 650 case group purchase. While his new case was destined to replace his old Palm 650′s, it went through a bit of a transformation, first.

I seriously wish that someone could paint my 700wx’s body Ferrari Red… ;-)

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

Very nice!! That looks extremely professional. Wonder how well it will stand up to bumps and stratches.

Hey Mitchell, if all they did was spray paint it with one or two coats, it may not stand up too well to everyday handling. To do it right, one needs to put primer on the plastic body, paint a few coats, then clear coat it. I have the DEI responder auto security system with remote start and the fancy remotes come with a painted finish ( http://www.viper.com/Images/Products/5900_large.gif ). After a few years, the finish on the body of my remote is standing up better than the screen which has taken a few nicks and scratches.
