Thank you for your submissions – the contest is now closed. A winner will be announced shortly.
In the midst of all the craziness that is CES, I had the opportunity to enjoy a very entertaining lunch with John Phillips (of Astraware), Jack Cook (of Mobility Site & Experience Mobility), and Steve Hughes (of Boston Pocket PC & Techronical) at Quark’s Bar.

Somewhere in the middle of that meal, John leaned across the table and said – quite seriously, amidst all of the laughter and story-telling – that he had something he needed to give me. I had no idea what it would be, and as I watched him pull out his wallet, my curiosity deepened…
From inside he pulled out five black cards: these are five keys to the Astraware software store. As he explained, each one of these tickets could be used to access a multitude of registered copies of Astraware’s software titles. My jaw just dropped!
Update added later: After posting, John Phillips emailed and said, “Remember to let people know it gives them the chance to have a copy of EVERY Astraware title, plus all future titles too
” So there you have the clarification, straight from the horse’s mouth!
These black glossy cards say “Club Astraware VIP Invitation” on the front, with a unique number. Their backs have the following instructions:
1. Go to the VIP URL
2. Enter your email address and your VIP Code (from the front of this card).
3. If you’ve not registered before, you’ll be asked for some details.
4. Go to the Club Astraware homepage and click VIP Area on the menu.
5. Select the games you would like from the lists shown.
6. Proceed to your FREE checkout.
7. We will then email you a list of unlock codes for your chosen games.
So now that the CES dust has settled, I am going to do something with the tickets. Obviously these are really special – so the contest is going to be a bit different. Instead of naming a celebrity’s device or naming a favorite movie, we are going to…Name that Tech Blogger!
Here’s how it works: Mitchell and I have compiled a list of photos for 20 tech bloggers. You just need to put the names and a site for each blogger in order, and then submit your answers to me in an email. Anyone with 13 or more correct entries will be submitted into the drawing for one of the five Club Astraware VIP Invitation Cards.
I should disclose that in no way is this meant to be a “top 20 list” of tech bloggers; it is just a “list of 20″!
This contest will close February 15, at 5:30 US Central Standard Time; The winner of one of the five cards will be chosen by the Gear Diary team and announced soon after.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the unidentified photos of some of today’s popular tech-bloggers; some are very well known – some not so much. Tell us who they are, and the name of at least one of the sites they contribute to regularly…

Wow, that’s a bunch of geeks there!
I got 17, but may be wrong on one or two. Of course, I a)don’t believe I am eligible and b) don’t need the prize. Kudos to Astraware for the contest prizes.
If I am eligible and I win, I hereby donate my prize to someone that comment here (in this thread) randomly.

Wow! What a great idea for a contest! I’m not going to even try since I hardly know any of them. Okay, I think I know a couple but hopefully, I’ll find out and may even meet them next CES (I’m hoping to go next year. Fingers crossed). And of course, add them to my newsreader (but I’m sure I already have them).
And that’s such a nice thing that Chris is doing, offering up his prize (if he’s a winner) to someone else.

So far, I think I have eleven. My wife thinks I’m a little nuts right now, but it’s like a photo treasure hunt! I don’t know if I’ll make it into the contest, but I still have a few days to keep looking!
