Just a heads up to everyone who has been anxiously waiting for Apple to release their 802.11n Enabler, it is now available on their site for purchase for US$1.99, AU$2.99, 1.25GPB, or the equivalent in other currencies.
I have been checking Apple’s site daily waiting for this so that I can take the plunge into fast wireless. Those of you with 802.11n routers already can finally see the speed they were meant for ![]()

Yup!! Leave it to Gear Diary’s two resident Mac-Heads to have downloaded and installed this already! I put it on my MBP this evening as well. My new wireless access point/router doesn’t support 802.11n, but my MBP does…now that I downloaded and installed the enabler.
Before you install the Enabler, you need to do a Software Update and insure that you install any and all Airport updates, as the Enabler will require then to work. ALSO, this will only work on Core2Duo Macs, and not the first generation MBP’s.

Yeah I installed it earlier today, and it now shows a/b/g/n instead of a/b/g. Looking forward to my Belkin N1 Wireless Router!
