Accents are in sterling silver, and there is a special sterling heart on the front; say it with me now…awwwww!
I have to admit…I love it; if I had the right Treo and if the rosa was a deeper red, I would be swooning. But I don’t, and it isn’t, so I am (thankfully) somewhat immune to its charms. [There's no need to go check the Vaja site for me - I seriously don't need to know if they have it for my Treo 700wx!]
Assuming you sweetheart has the correctly fitting Treo, this case will set you back nearly $300 smackers. At the rate so many people swap out their devices, this might be a hard sell.
So you’ll have to ask yourself, is he or she worth it?
I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
For the value, I’d rather spend the money on an engraved iPod; a piece of furniture; detailing a car, etc. etc.

I know!
I just couldn’t justify it…unless I knew I would use the same device (or the exact same form factor) for a couple of years – and that’s not very realistic.
However, I know some people wouldn’t even think twice, and it’s great that this beauty is available for them.

This is the biggest problem with Vaja products. They are truly, TRULY the most awesome case available, but they are just too expensive to purchase! I really wish they would drop their prices. I’d love to have a Vaja case for every device I have, but I just can’t afford them.

Well, it’s the difference between a Dooney & Bourke bag and an Hermes bag, ya know? Both are nice – but the most expensive Dooney might be $500 whereas the most expensive Hermes would be $80K. There is a market for each, and the manufacturer is entitled to charge what the market will bear.
So I wouldn’t say that Vaja cases are too expensive, because there is definitely a market for them. They would be too expensive to buy for every device though – especially at the rate we swap through them!
Bear in mind, of course, that this particular case is not the typical Vaja. This one is handmade with Sterling accents, and it’s triple the price of a similar style (without the fancy accoutrements) that they offer. I bet they will sell out of these, too – you watch.
Good thing there is something for everyone.

I have a standard Vaja black case for the Treo 650 and the craftsmanship is superb – but for me, there is a ceiling where the value versus cash layout is exceeded. $100 for a case, yes. $300 nope, as a iPod, TIVO or Slingbox makes more sense. $600 for an iPhone? Hmmm, maybe a iPod and a unlocked smartphone for $600, etc, etc.

Yep, we all have that “ceiling”, which is the most we would ever pay for whatever the particular item is. Some people have a very low ceiling, some a much higher ceiling than others…and some people have no ceiling at all.

Those cases look simply fantastic!

I want a silver heart on my Vaja Treo case.
It looks like it would fit over the 700wx’s LED…which would mean the heart would glow red or green, and how cute would that be?
