Yeah, there's plenty more evidence to that effect, but this is some of the best.

On the one hand, I'm pleased that it's supposedly going to be offered by VZW, since I'm on VZW and have been waiting for a decent PDA-phone from them for ages. But on the other hand, I fear that it being a VZW phone will mean that they will screw us around (as they have in the past) by crippling various functions (like the Bluetooth and WiFi).
Oh well... all we can do is wait and see what happens, eh?

Actually, everything I’ve seen says it’s going to be a Verizon phone. I've been waiting for a PDA-phone that I really liked for some time now, and the SCH-i760 is the only one that really trips my trigger (with the exception of some of the great phones that Europe and Asia get!).
Let's keep our fingers crossed... I've read that the phone will come out as soon as this month, and ranging all the way to June '07. Needless to say, I really love for it to come out sooner rather than later!

I’m really anxious for the phone to come out, too. Thanks for the link; I must say that the SCH looks very interesting to me, and I would love to get my hands on one.

Hi Dzanda, – yes – those are exactly the two prefixes to which I was referring. I suppose that the 2 devices you refer to are the SCH-i760, and the SGH-i760... the SCH prefix indicates a CDMA phone, while SGH signifies a GSM unit. Despite the similar names, the phones are actually surprisingly different. Unlike the SCH-i760, which is a horizontal/landscape slider (pictured above), the SGH-i760 is a vertical slider.
For what appears to be good stats on the SCH-i760, you might check out this link: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=696.
By the way: You can compare phones side-by-side at the link I provided. That way you can see (for example) that the SCH-i760 is 3mm shorter, 1mm narrower, and 8.2mm thicker than the Blackjack.

Judie,

I suppose that the 2 devices you refer to are the SCH-i760, and the SGH-i760… the SCH prefix indicates a CDMA phone, while SGH signifies a GSM unit. It's not even on the Samsung site yet. You might check out Ed's overview - he at least held one.

I wish I did…there is very little information available, unfortunately. Do you know the dimensions, or size relative to something comparable?

Looks nice.
