This contest is now closed. No entries past this one by ideascome will be considered. Winners will be announced ASAP – thank you for participating.
One of the hazards of reviewing so many fabulous items is that after a while…you have way more items than you can ever possibly use. So, I’m making good on my New Year’s Eve promise to have even more give-aways and contests this year…
I liked the way Chris Leckness did his recent “yard sale“, so I decided to do something similar. You’ll note that there are numbers on all of the items in the following eight pictures. There are 22 items in all, and if there is something that you want, you should leave a comment after this post with the item number and state why you would like to win the item.
You should comment only once for each item, but you may create several comments if there are several items you would like to try for. Some items are brand new, some are slightly used, all (with the exception of the Zen 512MB Nano) were review samples and will include original packaging – if I still have it.
Winners will be selected by myself and the Gear Diary Team, and our decisions are final. This give-away will end at 5:30 pm CST on March 15.
Winners will be announced soon after.
The complete list of items is as follows:
1. i-mate JAQ3 MSRP – $599.99 (review is tentatively scheduled for posting on March 5th 10th)
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag MSRP – $130
3. OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case MSRP – $169.95
4. Belkin Zune TunePower MSRP – $59.99

8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset MSRP – $229.95
9. Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader MSRP – $48.99
10. MyLight LED Clip Light MSRP – $9.95
11. Belkin Folio Kickstand Case for Zune MSRP – $29.99
12. Brando USB MP3 Player + SD/MMC Card Reader MSRP – $15.00
13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light MSRP – $44.99

20. Cordgo MSRP – $9.95 (one of two that came, has never been opened)
21. Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player MSRP – $55.99 (This one came free with my Fujitsu T4215, it is BNIB)
22. Datexx UltraBattery MSRP – $50.00
Total amount of all give-away items: $1811.08!
All of the pictures will enlarge when you click them, so take a good look…
Remember: only comment once for each item, but do comment for each item if you are interested in more than one.
READ THIS: If this is your first post, it will go into a moderation queue. There is no need to post again – I will approve your entry as soon as I get back to my computer. K? K.
Rules:
Okay – start telling us what you want – and why. The more interesting and entertaining, the better!
I want to also add a big THANK YOU to Mitchell for creating the spreadsheet we’ll be using to track this mess!!

Awesome giveaway!! There is some GREAT stuff in there, good luck everyone!
February 18th, 2007 at 7:00 pm
I would like to beg for the JAQ3 because when I saw it reviewed by you, I realized it would be my next device. I s-o-o-o-o-o miss a touch screen. */*
February 18th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
Lets go for #1 the i-Mate JAQ3, I need a convergent device for my work.
This would be perfect replacement for my Axim

May I have a Mona Lisa Flash card #14, please? I gave my friend’s wife one for Christmas and then realized I wanted one, too, when she raved about how useful it was. But when I went back to order one for me, they were back-ordered.
February 18th, 2007 at 7:08 pm
I could really use the Boxwave skin for the Moto Q #16. For some reason, I’m going thru cases for this puppy faster than a bad cold thru Kleenex.
February 18th, 2007 at 7:13 pm
I suppose I should sign up for the clip light #10. I seem to be in the dark about more and more things these days, and perhaps this would help.
February 18th, 2007 at 7:15 pm
I would really like the JetArt Notebook Cooler #7, after seeing one at a friend’s house. As one reaches my age, you need all the help you can get at still being Cool.
February 18th, 2007 at 7:21 pm
#19 please
Awesome! I love giveaways! I’d like to request #19 – the Datexx Outback PowerBank. I’m always in need of more power – argh argh argh!
February 18th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
#1: JAQ 3
I’m going to take a shot at this one – you can’t win if you don’t try! The JAQ3 sounds so great, and I am looking forward to your review.
February 18th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
Last but not least, you who keep giving me the “gimmies”, I could use the Datexx UltraBattery #22, because my phone never lasts the entire day and I’ve been too cheap to buy myself one of these. And besides, Uncle Chris wouldn’t let me win for ANY of the prizes in His contest. You’re the only one who likes me…..*/*
February 18th, 2007 at 7:36 pm
#1: I’d love to put my hat in the ring for the JAQ3, even though I’m sure it’s going to be the most popular item on the list.
I am trying to get my life in order, and being out of the office more than I’m in it means it’s hard to stay on top of my email and other things. A smartphone would help, but I’m getting married in three weeks and on a gadget purchase moratorium! At least I’m getting a husband out of the deal…
February 18th, 2007 at 7:45 pm
Hey, Judie. Great giveaway. OK. I am going to come right out and ask for #1. Why? Because I still have a WM 2003SE device with no phone attached. Let’s be honest, that is just really sad these days. So, I would love a newer device. I saw your unboxing earlier and was just blown away by it, so I would absolutely love that one. Kind of something to bring me into the present (just in time to get left behind by WM6). And I have been wanting something with a phone for a while now, so this will be perfect.
Doug
February 18th, 2007 at 7:47 pm
Me again.
I could definitely use #9, the 28-in-1 card reader. My new laptop will only read SD cards and i have a ton of stuff on CF and other formats as well, so that would be very handy.

Oooh I would LOVE #2-Tom Bihn ID Bag.
I desperately need a new bag….and what would be better than the best? (Plus, it would save me having to buy one for myself for my birthday or Christmas!
)
Thanks! Susan
February 18th, 2007 at 8:14 pm
I’d like #13, the Terralux workstar60 led work light!
February 18th, 2007 at 8:24 pm
#2, the Tom Bihn ID bag. I own an Empire Builder and think it’s the best bag I’ve ever owned. The ID bag would make a wonderful birthday gift for my wife.
Thanks! James
February 18th, 2007 at 9:02 pm
I would love to get #3, the OtterBox. I’m out and about quite a bit and although I’ve tried to protect my laptop, it’s still getting pretty bagged up. So this case would be perfect.
Thanks!
February 18th, 2007 at 9:45 pm
I need the JAQ3. And why? Funny you should ask. When I lost my last phone and couldn’t afford a new one, I had to take my boss’ *15 year old’s* hand-me-down. Nothing says “pathetic” quite like the hand-me-down phone of a 15 year old kid.
February 18th, 2007 at 9:45 pm
Just like most others,… I would like #1, please! Really, I want it for my wife, not me. I am very happy with my Cingular 8125.
Three reasons that I want to get the I-mate Jaq 3 for my wife.
First, because she uses a Sony Clie with Palm OS and I really want to get her into the Windows Mobile environment. She has been receptive to the idea of switching somewhat. But if I put this in her hands, I know she will switch. She is a medical resident in Ophthalmology and I really see Windows Mobile as the future for her field. Palm OS is dying, even though they have had the market share in the medical field for years.
Second, because she needs a converged device. She is tired of carrying around her Clie, cell phone and Video Ipod. She could really do all of those things with this one product.
Third, because my wife’s birthday is March 4th and this would make a wonderful gift. You all could help my wife love me even more if I get this for her on her birthday.
Thanks for your time!!
February 18th, 2007 at 10:25 pm
My first preference: the Tom Bihn bag, because I have serious addiction to anything bag-like. Also, I just got a new Dell XPS M1210 (it’s so tiny!) and it might like a new home.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:26 pm
And my second preference is the Proporta SD keychain.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:28 pm
Whoops… because all my gear takes SD cards.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:37 pm
#8
The headphones would be perfect for my 9 year old son. He has Asperger Syndrome and uses music to block out distractions while he works and also to fall asleep.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:51 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3
Reason: The LORD hath need of it.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:53 pm
8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset
Reason: The LORD hath need of it.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:54 pm
21. Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player
Reason: The LORD hath need of it.
February 18th, 2007 at 10:58 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3
Reasons: 1. my cell phone is soooo old… I can’t browse the internet on it, check email, or take pictures! 2. I am a Windows Mobile Developer and I don’t own a Windows Mobile device! Everyone always asks me what I do, and when I tell them, they ask me what kind of phone I have… major embarassment…
February 18th, 2007 at 10:59 pm
The #3 Otterbox 7000 is a perfect fit for my NEW HP Laptop. I’ve been scouring the net for the safest and most rugged case of it and the otterbox is it. It will prevent me from banging it up too badly going from job site to job site.
February 18th, 2007 at 11:46 pm
#7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler
to be able to put my MacBook Pro laptop where its belong…. my lap.
coz i loved to work outside
February 18th, 2007 at 11:47 pm
Hi, may I get the #2 item (Tom Bihn ID Bag). I have a super ultraportable laptop Sony VAIO X505/CP (I guess it is still the lightest and smallest laptop on the world). But I could not find a suitable bag for it. Believe me, I tried very hard, but it is really hard to find a good fancy bag for this $3000 super slim laptop. I truly hope my X505 can fit into Tom Bihn ID Bag and finally find a lovely home. Thanks a lot for your consideration!
February 19th, 2007 at 12:39 am
I’d have to be insane if I passed up asking for the iMate JAQ3 (1) …
Why? Gidgets and Gadgets. That and frankly it just looks very cool, not to mention it’s one of the few cool devices that works on the Cingular GSM 850 band!
February 19th, 2007 at 12:41 am
Oh … and if possible #9 The bag. I’ve got a 9 year old and she goes through bags like they’re made out of wet paper
February 19th, 2007 at 2:06 am
I’m interested in #4 the Belkin Zune TunePower. I use my Zune constantly and I’m out on the road a lot throughout the day traveling from client site to client site. I can see where having this additional power will be a big plus!
Thanks for throwing this giveaway!

#3 Otter Case 7000
The size and weight doesn’t bother me as much as I worry about my tablet out in the field. I consult with clients who are new to GPS tech. I have been taking my tablet with me but, a few weekends ago, I wad caught in a thunderstorm and wasn’t prepared except for a rain jacket. The exceptional review done on Gear Diary has me craving for this durable piece of equipment. It will be put to good use and my tablet will have a safe home.
February 19th, 2007 at 3:27 am
Definitely #7 Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler
I need this because it is over 100 degrees here every day and there is no airconditioning so I am constantly afraid by laptop will meltdown.
Great giveaway man.
February 19th, 2007 at 3:31 am
Judie, after all the stuff is given away (you’re so rocking generous!) I’d like to have that table so that I can build a massive LEGO project. It matches my kitchen table…
February 19th, 2007 at 5:37 am
I could use the TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light. I’m a high mileage road-warrior and that could be handy ‘down the road’
. Thanks for the contest !
February 19th, 2007 at 5:58 am
I’d like and really find useful the 22 Datexx UltraBattery … all my gear is really power-hungry, and i could use it with my phones and T|T PDA, instead of starving for any USB port available :/
thank you for the giveaway
February 19th, 2007 at 6:15 am
Hi Judie,
If you dont mind parting with Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player (the one which you have paid for and not received for review), I would like to own it. I have joined a Gym and wanted to buy one was not sure about which one to buy.
I guess I will wait for the results now.
Thanks for the gifts
February 19th, 2007 at 6:20 am
#12 Brando USB MP3 Player + SD/MMC Card Reader
I have messed up the earlier entry as I have not included the serial no. I hope I win this one.
Judie can I please add an entry for #21 also. I see it has FM inbuilt in it and will be very very usefull
February 19th, 2007 at 8:02 am
1. i-mate JAQ3
I would like to ask for the JAQ3. My wife is going through treatment for a recurrence of breast cancer. The area where they do the chemotherapy recently added a wi-fi connection, so we were looking at equipment that would allow her access for the afternoons while she is there. She’s trying to continue her schooling so she wants to take advantage of this time, if she can. Thanks either way.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:08 am
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag
If I do not receive the JAQ3, then I would like to ask for the Tom Bihn bag for my wife. Thank you.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:15 am
I would like #1, the JAQ3. This would be a great device to finally get a little more converged. I am tired of reading e-mail on my RAZR.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:16 am
I would like #2, the Tom Bihn laptop bag. I am tired of using the dopey bag that came with my Dell laptop.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:18 am
The #13, Terralux work light would be great. It looks very durable, at least more so than what I have.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:20 am
#3 would be great. You can never be too careful!!
February 19th, 2007 at 8:31 am
#1 – The JAQ3 would be awesome. It would be my first Windows Mobile device and would be put to good use. Thanks.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:33 am
#6 – The Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag would be great. Thanks.
February 19th, 2007 at 9:11 am
#!: As I am starting my own company, I could realy use a digital assistant like the Jaq3 to track my work and clients!
Thanks, Keep up the geary work!
February 19th, 2007 at 9:13 am
#1: sorry, my post refers to number 1, not number “!”
original post:
#!: As I am starting my own company, I could realy use a digital assistant like the Jaq3 to track my work and clients!
Thanks, Keep up the geary work!
February 19th, 2007 at 9:15 am
#2: The Tom Bihn Bag is excellent alternative for the ever boring Dell notebook bags, and it is even my favourite color: blue/purple!
Thanks, keep up the good work!
February 19th, 2007 at 9:16 am
The i-mate JAQ3 would be perfect to replace my aging (and failing) iPaq 4155 and my old Samsung cell phone. As a Pastor, I occasionally use my PDA to speak or preach from. My Bible software requires a touch screen, which is one reason why I am so excited about the possibility of this phone. I must also admit… it would just be COOL! Either way, thanks for the great site and info Judie.
February 19th, 2007 at 9:18 am
#13 – MyLight LED Clip Light for late night surfing – Thanks –
February 19th, 2007 at 9:19 am
#7: the Jetart notebook cooler is an excellent help when using the laptop full time. As a starting company, I have not yet invester in desktops next to a notebook I need when commuting to and from clients. The cooler will keep me and my heat sensitive wooding livingroom table happy when working long hours at home.
Keep up the gear diary!
February 19th, 2007 at 9:22 am
This is not a multiple entry for the same item (I don’t want to be disqualified!). I’m just noting that I may have forgotten to mention that Wednesday is my 50th birthday. It’s good to have old geeks around, isn’t it?
February 19th, 2007 at 9:24 am
#13: TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light. Now this screams me, This is “the best” help when looking for stuff in the basement storage where a single flashlight is not any help. This would make life for me and my wife a lot easier!
February 19th, 2007 at 9:27 am
#15: Datexx SuperBattery will allow me have a flashlight, but moreover, to charge my stuff without adding to the global warming, ánd give me a workout! This is the best of both worlds! It is also great for my kids to allow them to see that it actually takes an effort to make a light in darkness.
Thanks, keep up your good website!
February 19th, 2007 at 9:31 am
#19 the Datexx Outback PowerBank will allow my kids to make light at the campground even when the battery is gone from forgetting to switch of the light the night before. This is great addition to our camp gear.
Thanks
February 19th, 2007 at 9:34 am
#20. Cordgo will eliminate the cluster of tangeld wires grom my ER6 phones. These wires feel so thin, I always need to watch myself when untangling them. The Cordgo allows me to enjoy the great ER6’s without fear of creating wire-spagetti
Thanks
February 19th, 2007 at 9:50 am
The #20 Corgo would definitely help with that big ball of wires in my jacket pocket. Maybe now when I try to pull out my headphones, my keys, gum, and misc. receipts won’t fall out of my pocket.
February 19th, 2007 at 10:10 am
#8 or #21 because they would be perfect to put on the music files that I need to listen to for my thesis while at school. Plus I would like to try a mp3 player that was a non-Apple product.
February 19th, 2007 at 10:40 am
I would really like to have the OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case. I’m getting married in early may (this year) and we will honeymoon in Kauai where it rains alot.
We want to take our new laptop with us so we can take more digital photos using it to store and review them. It seems like this would be the perfect way to keep it safe on the journey.
February 19th, 2007 at 10:45 am
Ooo i would really like to have the #2. Tom Bihn ID Bag! We are getting married this may (yea us!)and this seems like it would be the perfect bag for me to carry on to the plane with me. I could have all my reading and electronics in one happy little spot instead of all fumbling around loose in my big shapeless backpack
Plus purple is my favorite color. Doesn’t get any better than that. Thanks for the contest. Hope i win this one
February 19th, 2007 at 2:07 pm
Tonight I plan on flashing my K-Jam to the last ROM that was posted on XDA-devs before MS insisted they pull them all down.
As an attempt at using reverse psychology to make my flashing work, I’m posting this to ask for the i-mate JAQ3 to replace my k-soon-to-be-brick.
Not that I think I can scare my Wizard into staying alive tonight. Honestly. Well… a little.
February 19th, 2007 at 2:45 pm
My mid-life crisis is closing by so I hope that “Teenage Dirtbag” could make me feel myself young and hip again
February 19th, 2007 at 2:51 pm
#15
Why? My cellphone is beeping at me right now. /sigh
I try and charge it every 2 days, but it gets harder to keep track. I have a car charger, but I’m not in my car right now. And this damn thing is getting annoying.
February 19th, 2007 at 3:12 pm
I’m taking a stab at #1 – imate JAQ3 knowing full well that my luck has never landed me with any big prizes in my life history but at least I try.
Thanks for a great contest and a great blog! I love seeing how people are giving back to the community!
February 19th, 2007 at 3:12 pm
#1 please.
I’ve been dying to try the JAQ3. It has the form factor of the popular Blackjack but the JAQ3 is a full PocketPC Phone Edition complete with a touchscreen! I love it.
I can have all the functionality of a real PPC Phone while having the thin, light form factor of a Smartphone and to top it all off it has a very useful QWERTY keyboard! *drool*
Please choose me to bestow that JAQ3 love upon. I will provide it with the bestest of homes and put it to such good use.
Thanks!
February 19th, 2007 at 3:41 pm
I would love to have the OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case so that I can use it in the field when I do my research. My intouch sleeve just isn’t cutting it anymore!~
February 19th, 2007 at 3:44 pm
#1 also! I have really been looking forward to trying out the i-mate JAQ3.; I have been hesitant in getting a phone with more features but I have just started to realize that on-the-go email is a necessity right now. Please send this to me! Let me see first hand for the first time what a smart phone can do for me!
Thanks
February 19th, 2007 at 3:59 pm
I would like the Tom Bihn ID bag, number 2. I need a good gear bag and my current one is junk and is falling apart.
February 19th, 2007 at 4:03 pm
I would also like Number 1. The main reason is right now, I do not have a Smartphone like device and work is too cheap to buy me one!
February 19th, 2007 at 4:15 pm
i-mate JAQ3 please
Would love to replace cheapie mobile phone and Palm Vx with shiny new device.
February 19th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
I’d like the #3 OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case, please. In my work, I help teachers across the country (and the world!) use mobile technology to improve the quality and accessibility of education – for example, see my Mobile Learning blog at http://mlearning.edublogs.org.
Because I travel frequently, my demonstration devices take a lot of knocks at the moment. An OtterBox would help protect my laptop and demonstration kit, and ensure I always arrive at my workshops for schools with working gear.
February 19th, 2007 at 5:16 pm
I’d love it if you would give me the gorgeous Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag. It’s blue and has a star, which honestly makes it more “elodie” than anything
(here, take a look at a picture of my room: http://www.graphical-illusion......ling02.JPG I promise you, I’m not kidding XD) I’ve been looking and looking for a nice, durable messenger bag with the space and pockets to organize the ton of junk I carry around (I’m a tech-obsessed high school-soon to be college- student, who has a passion for art. Carrying sketchbooks, schoolbooks, camera, pocket pc, and so forth, isn’t always so easy!). This bag just looks like the perfect thing for me. Anyways, I’m done begging, but I hope you’ll realize how perfect for me it is, too
(and since it’s a large item and I do live in hawaii I feel the need to mention that I will help pay for shipping–just in case it happens to end up a problem! I love this bag!)
February 19th, 2007 at 5:23 pm
Now, I know I already begged for the other bag, but I would love it if you would consider me for the Tom Bihn ID Bag. It’s just the right size to hold my tablet PC, for which I as of now only own a large, outdated, and incredibly heavy laptop bag for. It’s great for airplane travel because it protects, but gah, it adds a good 2 or 3 pounds to my already 7lb laptop–WAY too much! The Tom Bihn bag would be a perfect alternative for when I want to bring my laptop to school, or wherever, without looking like a businessman on a crosscountry trip. It’s also beautiful, with its purple and green coloring; while blue is my favorite color, I am quite a fan of anything colorful, and this bag is certainly that
! It also seems to have a good amount of pockets, and I looove pockets. Organization is my best friend!
Thanks for the give-away, by the way! The same offer of helping with shipping is made for this bag as for the Bagaboo one.

Ooo I keep going
I feel silly entering into this for so many of the items, but they all look so neat, how can I help it?!
I would like to beg for the Skullcandy headphones. They’re sooo pretty, for one, that I simply have to ask for them. And past that, they seem awesome! I always get tangled up in my earbud cables when trying to listen to music, and that definitely eliminates the problem. I’ve also been looking for a nice set of big headphones, since all I own right now are my free creative earbuds that came with my mp3 player–cute and definitely not the worst quality, but my ears are NOT made for earbuds. They must be too small or something, but my earbuds always fall out, I can’t wear them more than an hour or two before my ears hurt awfully and I have to take them out–you get the idea. Since these headphones can also be used with a different source than the little included mp3 player, I think they’d be just awesome.
Okay, I’ll admit they aren’t going snowboarding anytime soon XD But I’ll take them everywhere else if I get them! (and possibly snowboarding next year… cold mainland, here I come o.o)

Chris Leckness is a geek. Judie Hughes is geek Santa!
This post is for the “2. Tom Bihn ID Bag MSRP – $130″. I need new carrying gear.
February 19th, 2007 at 5:35 pm
Did I mention I need new carrying gear?
Please consider me for the “3. OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case”.
February 19th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
Just two more!
I’d like to beg for the Spectec SD wi-fi card. I own a rather old dell Axim that has no wireless, and I never use its SD port since I use the CompactFlash slot for extra memory. I’ve always wished I could have the internet on it–it would make it SO much more useful. Right now it’s more of a digital notebook than anything else, but internet access would make it extremely useful. I have too many other things to buy (sigh, tablet PC and your hunger for memory! among others…) right now to really warrant buying a wifi adapter for it, so it sits in its dock unused day after day–this wifi adapter would make it finally have a purpose. I hope I get it, I would love to have the internet with me everywhere! (can you say obsessed? XD)
February 19th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
A light would be handy – to light up my lack of new carrying gear.
One “13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light” please.
February 19th, 2007 at 5:38 pm
This request is for the wife. She’s always borrowing my old Tungsten T3 to use as an MP3 player.
One wife friendly “12. Brando USB MP3 Player + SD/MMC Card Reader” would be very much appreciated.
February 19th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
I remember the time…. no, wait…. I can’t remember anything.
Perhaps a “14. Brando 1GB Mona Lisa USB Flash Card” would help?
February 19th, 2007 at 5:42 pm
Okay, last one! Sorry I had so many, once again. Hehe, best of luck to you in picking. … and to me! -hopes- XD
I’d like to beg for the Aluminium notebook cooler. I have a 15 inch screen tablet PC, and it overheats a lot. I own a targus cooler for it that I got from Goodwill right now, but it’s much too small for my laptop, so I always have to adjust it to keep the tablet from wobbling when I type/draw/etc. It’s really annoying–and the cheap plastic and paint job on it is making the bottom of my laptop all ugly and dirty! I think this aluminium cooler would be great, because it would fit my tablet much better, look a lot nicer (yes, I care about looks
come on, I read gadget websites, that should be no surprise! -laughs-) and not mess up the bottom of my computer. Additionally, its extra usb ports are a dream come true. My current adapter steals one of my usb ports, and since I only have 3 (and the other two are taken up by my mouse and my bluetooth dongle) that’s really not happy =( This laptop cooler seems that it would EXPAND my number of ports, rather than reducing them! How wonderful! So I think this cooler would be a great addition to my tablet pc.
Thanks for your consideration for all these different categories. I can’t wait to see if I won anything! It’s like christmas eve all over again! XD

#9 – Atech 28-1 Card Reader
I have some many different flash card formats and only one free USB port. I normally use that spare USB port to connect each device, one at a time, to transfer data to and fro since I don’t have a card reader. It’s very annoying reaching around the back of my computer to connect and disconnect each device each and every time I need to transfer info not including slow and time consuming.
With the Atch Flash 28-1 Card Reader I can quickly and easily transfer data for all of my devices without having to connect, disconnect then reconnect them one at a time.
February 19th, 2007 at 6:07 pm
Hi There!
This is cool… I would love to have item # 1. I did not go past that
Cheers!
Alpesh
February 19th, 2007 at 6:18 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3 MSRP – $599.99
I would LOVE to win this item. It is WAY outside my pricerange, so it would be another fine tech item I would just have to dream about.
February 19th, 2007 at 6:54 pm
My new Zune would feel nice and comfy in the Vaja case (#5)! His supplied “sleeping bag” is alright, but he would like to feel safer during the daily rides/walks between classes. Not to mention he would look oh so more stylish!
February 19th, 2007 at 6:57 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3 – This item looks like it would be useful in the day-to-day organization and management needed by anyone in a professional field. As I’ve recently aquired such a position, aquiring a device such as this would greatly assist me, both in my current training state, as well as in my up-and-coming “final” state. Plus, and not to sound too..geeky.. it looks cool.
February 19th, 2007 at 7:02 pm
Hi, I’m moonpenguin’s Zune (mentioned above) I personally would also like the energy boost of the Belkin TunePower (#4). Those long days of jukeboxing really leave me exhausted and in need of a nap, but with the tunepower I can keep jamming! And on trips, who wants to sleep when you can have fun? So wire my eyes open geardiary!
February 19th, 2007 at 7:06 pm
7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler MSRP
As a daily user of my..slightly outdated P3 733mhz laptop.. I find this item, and its’ review, to be something that brings my curiosity about. I see it handles power from the usb (as well as from the external power supply), which is great for my nightly work. On average, 2-4 hours a night on the laptop. Its age and speed, obviously, mean it gets hot..fast. Having something to cool it down some would be nice, and something like this with the USB hub on it as well would let me do much more with little changes.
February 19th, 2007 at 7:12 pm
22. Datexx UltraBattery MSRP – $50.00
Backup Power! Rejoice! I use my V3 Razr quiet a bit on a daily basis. Even with the methods I use to completely revive the battery, it’s lately been dying with about 3 hours left on my day. This, of course, leaves me without a good way to communicate, short of purchasing a DC-Charger for the drive home (another hour, oh joy!). A/c charger at work isn’t feasible, as I’m always on the run. Based on the review, it looks as though this would give me some serious backup, going from one-bar to nearly a full set with just a quick plug. Of course, it wouldn’t be as mobile then, but as a backup or as something with a cable from the pocket, it’d be a great addition to my phone. Now if I could only come up with a portable backup for my JX10 headset.
February 19th, 2007 at 7:52 pm
eep! I totally didn’t realize I was supposed to include the number!
Should I repost each entry with the number added? I don’t know how to delete entries, and I don’t want to have repeated entries… =( please tell me if you prefer me to just leave it as it is, or repost my entries x.x
I feel a little silly now. For some reason I thought it said the item NAME and reason, not the item NUMBER.
oops.
February 19th, 2007 at 7:54 pm
No worries Elodie – we know which items you (and anyone else that forgets the numbers) meant.
February 19th, 2007 at 8:48 pm
#2-Tom Bihn ID Bag.
My current laptop bag is already showing its age and the thoughtfully-made ID bag will be a splendid-looking replacement
February 20th, 2007 at 3:02 am
I hope one day I will receive a mail saying “Judie Hughes wants to send you an i-mate JAQ3 Windows Mobile phone – can you please send me your detailed shipping address and contact telephone numbers?”
Will sound a lot less scary than “Jim Morrison…”
February 20th, 2007 at 5:08 am
I could use the #3 Otterbox. Since my family goes to lots of conventions which requires toting luggage in and out of hotels by bellhops which might drop something and not let you know they did it until the next time you try to use the item and find it broken.
February 20th, 2007 at 6:04 am
Item #13 LED Light…. I have a lot of fun “make-ing” LED projects. This looks like a great design to void the warranty on !!
February 20th, 2007 at 6:08 am
Item #3 – OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case ….. I travel around a metro area with my laptop, helping my customers. It would be great to an SUV supercase for my main tool.
February 20th, 2007 at 6:15 am
1. i-mate JAQ3… I have owned just about every model of Palm PDA there ever was. The last being my Treo650. It’s headphone jack finally gave up the ghost and I’ve been thinking of making the jump to another OS. The 650 is…was my right hand, this would fit in its place nicely…..
February 20th, 2007 at 8:13 am
I would love to have the Brando 1 gig usb flash card. I am a frequent visitor of your site, although I’m a little too shy to comment. My boyfriend first introduced me to the site to show me your reviews and neat contests. I actually saw your review on the flash drive a while back (as well as your sushi flash drive), and I could definitely use the flash card. I am a college student surviving on a 64 mb flash, and I find myself frequently emailing the documents to myself, which can be a major pain. Using a flash drive is very useful for transferring documents back and forth between my home computer and the computing sites on campus. I would absolutely love to have a unique flash card while being able to transfer documents without maxing out my poor 64 mb flash. Thanks! Keep up the great work, and I’m loving the contributors to the site as well! Awesome contest as always!
February 20th, 2007 at 11:48 am
JAQ3. Why? Because have a Axim, which has no phone inbuilt. I am currentyly looking for a windows mobile phone and would love to win this one.
And I would like to win some other stuff too, but not going for them. JUST THE JAQ3.
Ravi.
February 20th, 2007 at 2:13 pm
I would like to win the
9. Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader MSRP – $48.99
because I have many flash cards and I will put it to good use.
Thanks
February 20th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3
Why? Because I am an up and coming gadget blogger and I would like to write a review on it myself. As a new tech site it is really hard to gain exposure and get noticed by the vendors out there and get stuff at discount or free to review.
Getting a major gadget like this would be a big plus for me and help solidify our site status as a respectable reviewer. After the review I would either keep it for personal use (because I don’t have a PDA *gasp*) or give it away in a similar fashion to what you’ve done here.
I also plan to send you an email with some questions; really hope you don’t mind
February 20th, 2007 at 8:41 pm
I’m definately interested in the OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case. I work in the water park resort environment and my laptop is constantly in and out of everthing from pump rooms and mechanical rooms to board rooms and the water park itself. I can assure you it will well field tested if you send it my way.
February 20th, 2007 at 9:45 pm
#4 Belkin Zune TunePower-
My family and I often go on long road trips throughout california visiting distant family. The problem is that 20 hours of driving drains my zune’s battery and the last thing I want is to be stuck with my family and actually have to listen to my brother in the seat next to me. With the belkin tune power I’ll have enough juice to drown out the high pitches whining of ‘are we there yet?’ of my siblings. If not, I will enjoy listening to my music and at the same time watch my zune battery drain out to nothing, and the outside world will once again enter my head. Hoping for the best,
scoutflyer
February 20th, 2007 at 11:52 pm
6. Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag – I’d also like to chime in for this one because I believe there is a ‘Star’ in each one of us
, hopefully my notebook can fit in this bag.
February 21st, 2007 at 8:25 am
I’d also like to have #9. I am amassing quite a collection of new card formats.
February 21st, 2007 at 9:51 pm
#2 Tom Bihn ID Bag
After reading the review, I thought how cool would this bag make me?
Very cool, very cool indeed…
February 21st, 2007 at 9:55 pm
#6 Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag
Just what I need to blend in with the young IT guys I work with (I’m 53)
February 22nd, 2007 at 2:26 am
#1 JAQ3. Why? Because I really want to look like one of the faux Matrix type guys on the front of the box!
February 22nd, 2007 at 2:38 am
#1 i-mate JAQ 3 – Hoping to win this one as I need a 2ndary device with WiFi and QWERTY to compliment my Treo 750v
February 22nd, 2007 at 1:05 pm
I’d love to get the 2. Tom Bihn ID Bag.
My bookbag is coming apart (it’s one of the large capacity JanSport’s with the rubber bottom, which is now separating from the fabric bag) and so I’ve been keeping my eye out for a nice new bag. Love the look and feel of the messenger bag.
February 22nd, 2007 at 1:08 pm
Also I wouldn’t mind having the 14. Brando 1GB Mona Lisa USB Flash Card. I’m a graphic design student (which is an Art Major at my school). How fitting would it be for an art major to carry around a flash drive that looks like the Mona Lisa??
February 22nd, 2007 at 2:29 pm
# 7 – The Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler would make me a very happy man, as I’ve already made a Macbook Pro sized white rectangle on my girlfriends laquered oak heirloom table. And I’ve now been resorted to putting it on a phonebook to not make the damage any worse.
Also, the 150% increase in USB ports would mean that I could have a my peripherals plugged in permanently, instead of having to switch the mouse plug for a printer plug everytime I have to print something or use any other USB device
P.S. You’re missing a “want” in the last rule, so the sentence would read: It’s up to me which shipping method to use – if you want your prize faster, cough up some money.
February 22nd, 2007 at 2:39 pm
“P.S. You’re missing a “want” in the last rule, so the sentence would read: It’s up to me which shipping method to use – if you want your prize faster, cough up some money.”
Got it! Thanks!
February 22nd, 2007 at 2:50 pm
# 9 – Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader would be a very nice match for the Mac Pro I’m still saving up for
Also, I’d see if I could cut a slot in the top and integrate an iPod dock for the iPod I’m still saving up for.
I’d also finally be able to transfer music to my Nokia phone after the bluetooth stopped working in it.
February 22nd, 2007 at 7:08 pm
I’ll try for the iMate JAQ3 – #1.
Why? Because for a student it’s hard to afford such devices, yet we’re the group that can utilize them the most.
February 22nd, 2007 at 7:54 pm
My Zune would totally love the Vaja Balance case, so I guess that’s it. I’m crossing my fingers.
Thanks
February 22nd, 2007 at 7:56 pm
I didn’t put a number so Vaja Case for Zune #5
February 22nd, 2007 at 8:44 pm
17. Spectec SDW-820 SDIO WiFi Card MSRP – I’m planning a long trip through Europe for our honeymoon, and I’d like to be able to use Wifi on my O2 XDA Mini. It’d sure help keep the weight down, if I didn’t have to carry around a laptop… We might even put up a little blog for family and friends, especially since I have a foldable infrared keyboard for it.
February 22nd, 2007 at 8:48 pm
I would like Item Number two, the Tom Bihn bag because I just spent a fortune on a Thinkpad laptop. If I had an awesome case like a Tom Bihn bag, it would be the perfect companion for a student like me. I commute to school so I need just a bag to lug around my laptop and a backpack just isn’t going to cut it.
February 22nd, 2007 at 11:04 pm
Well of course I’ll go for #1
I’ll be switching mobile providers soon and I’d like to have some way to be a geeky “window shopper” while on the road – you know the type, an appetite for gadgets that is never satisfied.
If I don’t get it, well, I can’t browse Gear Diary on the road. If I do get it, I promise to take it on an adventure and post about it so you’ll know it’s being properly cherished.
Like that time in the near future I’ll go fishing in Canada. I’ll catch a nice big fish and cook the JAQster a nice meal. Though it will have to “suspend” its enjoyment until I plug it back in since where I’m going, there will be no electricity within a 12 hour driving range and I’ll be there for a week. I digress. Wait, no I don’t, I was making my point..set the JAQ free and let it be one with me
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:43 am
Since I forgot to mention the number in my previous entry, I am adding a second one. Please dont disqualify me.
21. Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player
February 23rd, 2007 at 4:49 am
Number 2 for a few reasons -
1 – It’s just taken me about 5 minutes to figure out that my username on geardiary is case sensitive, I’ve invested a lot of time!
2 – Everyone else wants number 1!
3 – I like it
February 23rd, 2007 at 5:10 am
I would like item #1, please.
I want this item because i need it to replace my treo 300.
I am currently attending college and cannot afford a new phone but definitely need a upgrade.
Thanks
February 23rd, 2007 at 5:20 am
The Tom Bihn ID Bag would be so useful for carry my small but beautifully formed Axim, BT keyboard, P910i, cables, chargers, etc. To get our charity’s Family Centre each day I have a 1.5 hours each-way commute, consisting of 1 hour bus and 1/2 hour walk in all weathers.
Being able to carry everything in one bag would be so helpful, rather than cram everything into something unsuitable/less protective. I also carry all of my kit with me when we go places on weekends and we are just getting into geocaching, so a versatile bag is a must.
February 23rd, 2007 at 5:30 am
1. i-mate JAQ3
For nearly 2 years I have been using the touch screen Symbian OS Sony Ericsson P910i. I love the option to use a stylus but it is a Symbian device and my life these days revolves around my Pocket PC WM5 Dell Axim x51v.
What the x51v doesn’t have is phone or camera facility. I am looking to impove the content of my blog and two things that requires is for more pictures and more frequent posting.
With the JAQ3 I would have a compatible device, have upgraded from a sub-megapixel camera to a 2 megapixel one and be able to still post while mobile. Also the compatability with my Axim means I could remain integrated and not have to enter information in twice – once on a WM5 and once on a Symbian as I currently have to do.
February 23rd, 2007 at 5:54 am
(#1) i-mate JAQ3
—————-
I think that I shall never see
An i-mate lovely as JAQ-3.
JAQ-3, whose shiny form I’d slide
Into its case, clipped to my side.
JAQ-3, to help schedule my day
And keep my notes from going stray.
JAQ-3, whose screen I’d shield from wear
And clean each day with loving care.
Upon whose QWERTY keyboard true
I could compose poems for you.
Though poems are made by fools like me,
Only you can send me a JACQ-3.
(with apologies to Joyce Kilmer, http://www.bartleby.com/104/119.html)
February 23rd, 2007 at 8:13 am
#1. My PDA ended up in a pool of water when it fell out of my bag last year. That was the end of that. I had hoped a new Blackberry or PDA or the like would be under the Christmas tree, but alas it was not to be. So, here’s your chance to play Santa or maybe just “Whoose Your Daddy”.
February 23rd, 2007 at 9:50 am
I’d like item #15. You never know when you need some extra juice while camping or otherwise away from civilization. The last thing you want is to be stuck somewhere, without power to your phone.
February 23rd, 2007 at 10:28 am
I have a lot of 5v devices and that Datexx ULTRABattery looks darn useful. It’s #22.
February 23rd, 2007 at 10:45 am
I’d like to request item #3, the Otter laptop case. I work overseas as a sysadmin for the US Military, and I can not even begin to tell you the amount of equipment we lose to drops, water, dust, mud, mildew, and general clumsiness. This Otter case would go a long way in protecting some of our more sensitive equipment when we have to deploy to the field.
Thank you for a great contest, a cool blog, and for your consideration.
February 23rd, 2007 at 1:58 pm
Number 1, please! I, too, would like to win the grand prize! My current device doesn’t allow me to access my Outlook items except via ActiveSync. I would love to be able to check emails and appointments wherever I was at the time; to be truly mobile. I REALLY want a touch screen device; not a limited Smartphone! I’ve been using touchscreen since the early Sharp Zaurus’s and won’t/cannot live without one. Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:01 pm
And, number 8, please! I don’t have a dedicated MP3 player, yet, but I would like one. I read your review and I like the versatility of both the head phones (can be used with other devices) and the MP3 player itself (can be used for mass storage) plus you can use it as a voice recorder. I’m always remembering things in inconvenient places. And of course, the piece de resistance is the quality of the headphones themselves! Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:01 pm
And, number 9, please! EVERYBODY needs a card reader and this one would be the perfect addition to my home office. I think it looks very nice as well. That’s always been a factor to me… Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:01 pm
And, number 10, please! This request isn’t for me, though. I would give it to my oldest son so that he can read his assigned literature on our drive back home. Right now, I put on the dome light in the car, but it makes me feel very self-conscious. Like I always tell him, it makes me feel like a fish in a fishbowl! Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:02 pm
And, number 13, please! This wonderful light would allow me to no longer borrow my kids’ flashlights to work on my projects or car. Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:02 pm
And, number 14, please! I would give this to my son, a senior in high schoo, as an upgrade from his current 512Mb USB card Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:02 pm
And, number 15, please! I commute about 3 hours round trip every work day. I could use this as either a flashlight or to charge my cell phone in times of need. I especially like the fact that you can manually charge it; even if it isn’t to capacity. Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:03 pm
And, number 19, please! I commute about 3 hours round trip every work day. I could use this as either a flashlight or to charge my cell phone in times of need. I especially like the fact that you can manually charge it; even if it isn’t to capacity. Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:03 pm
And, number 21, please! I don’t have a dedicated MP3 player, yet, but I would like one. I have always heard good things about Creative; especially their Zen line. It’s so small, yet has enough for the essentials of my music collection! Thank you for the contest!
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:04 pm
And, number 22, please! My 3 kids and my wife all have iPods of one sort or another and with that comes the need for power. With this nifty item, I would be able to quench some, if not all, of that thirst when we are on the road and even at home. Thank you for the contest.
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:55 pm
#7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler
I would love to have this! My Acer laptop gets sooooooo HOT! How hot does it get? Well, sometimes I think I could fry eggs on the thing. I reckon I could take my Acer with me to a coffee shop with free WiFi and probably use it to make some extra money by roasting hotdogs over it. Or heck, I could just set up a rotisserie over my laptop and roast some chickens. Hmmm, after I make enough money on my laptop’s cooking talents, I could just open up my own coffee shop/snack bar! Yeah, that’s it! So why would I want the Jetart?
February 23rd, 2007 at 3:07 pm
Hi,
I first would like to extend my fullest appreciation for your generosity in giving away all these fabulous items. It is very big of you. You likely could have made some money selling these items but instead is giving them away. Thank you.
It would truly be grateful if I could win ITEM #1 (the i-mate JAQ3) and here is the reason why this item is important to me:
I am a new pharmacist and I have been on the lookout for a PDA for a long time now as it will be extremely useful for my work. I have been unable to purchase one yet as I am still paying off my student debt/loan. It is perfect that you are offering this prize right now.
A PDA will be VERY useful to me. There are several drug programs and medical programs available for PDAs that will allow me to perform my job more effectively and efficiently. For example, it will help me identify drug interactions and prescription errors a lot easier and, therefore, it will help me provide better healthcare.
Additionally, I am a relief pharmacist so I always have irregular schedules and drive to different pharmacies all the time. The JAQ3 will also be very useful as an organizer/schedule book. Also, I heard you can use PDAs with a BT GPS device. I intend to get one if I win this prize. The GPS/JAQ3 combo will be very useful for me as I drive all over the province as a relief pharmacist.
And last but not least, I have had my old Nokia phone for the last 6 years and it’s about time for a change. It is perfect that the JAQ3 incorporates both a PDA and a phone together.
As you can see, the JAQ3 is the perfect device for me. There is nothing else in the list that I need more than this. I will be able to use it to its fullest potential. You can feel safe in knowing that if I win this prize, I will treat it like my baby. Thanks again for your generosity.
Regards,
Mike Z.

#1. i-mate JAQ3
What a neat giveaway! I would absolutely love Love LOVE to get my hands on the i-mate JAQ3!!!! This device looks so cool! And how could I not want it? I’m a 100%, bonified, died in the wool, true blue, gadget freak! I’m so helpless with my overwhelming lust for gadgets! The constant drooling has really become an embarrassment for me in the past few years with so many wonderful, shiny, gadgets being released. Look how many new ones come out on an almost monthly basis! Mmmmmm, great design, WM5, touchscreen, DROOOOOOOL!! Thanks, now my keyboard is shorting out!

#2 – I sure could use a notebook bag and the Tom Bihn ID bag is just flat out cool. The bag I have now, wasn’t made to carry a notebook and the strap is not sturdy enough. So could you help me out? With this bag, I can walk around in style with the peace of mind of knowing I’ve got bag that won’t break.

OK, I have a story for you. About a boy, who dreamed he could change the world. He grew up always feeling like he was living six months into everyone else’s future. He was always the first one to jump on new technology trends – he had the first computer on his block (an Atari 1200XL with 64 KILObytes of RAM!!1!), he learned how to program in BASIC when he was 5 years old.
Flash forward to the present day, and you’ll find the young man working feverishly in his workshop, day and night, only stopping occasionally for runs to the store for more Mountain Dew, and of course, for bio-breaks. He was intent on his goal of world domination, and he was SO close – there was only one missing piece.
Our intrepid hero always read a lot of science fiction writing – stuff like Acclelerando from Charles Stross, and the non-fiction book “The Singularity is Near” was like his roadmap – he could feel the exponential growth of technology in his body, like the pulse of the universe.
Except technology wasn’t actually growing – it was shrinking. That is, the amount of compute power per square inch was increasing, but the actual computing devices themselves were getting smaller. He knew that there was a tipping point approaching, one that would tumble the world headlong into a future filled with nanotechnology and “magic”, for the future he envisioned was so radically different than the present we live in, there really was no other way to describe it. That was his goal – the bring the world into the future, where scarcity and need were long forgotten memories. Where no one lacked for any material thing. Where the currency and value of one’s contribution to society was measured in creativity and originality.
All of this was so close, yet he lacked the final piece to the puzzle. A #1 iMate JAQ3 device. Packing more computing power and storage than his first computer by several orders of magnitude, as well as better connectivity that most modern computers, our hero knew that if he could only lay his hands on the JAQ3, the world would enter a new era…
But how could he find the elusive device, and make it his… ?

Hello Judy, I would like to ask for item #1. I work in the morgue at a coroners office and I am feeling a little depressed lately about the state of human kind. I can’t afford the phone right now and winning the JAQ3 or anything would be a first for me. I would use it as my phone, music player and PDA. Thanks for being so generous.

Cordogo
I have a lot of cables to wrap up and have tried various units like this and none have worked very well. If this one works for me, I may be buying a few more!

#22 Datexx Ultrabattery
I have run out of battery too many times while traveling. This would work for me since I can charge via USB.
February 23rd, 2007 at 10:09 pm
#19 Datexx OutBack PowerBank

#15 Datexx SuperBattery
I have run out of battery too many times while travelling. This would work well for me since I can charge via USB.
February 24th, 2007 at 12:50 am
I have the worst luck, but let’s give this a try anyway. I would like the I-mate JAQ3 because my children won’t let me buy nice things.
February 24th, 2007 at 12:52 am
I could use the jetart np7600w aluminum notebook cooler, because my convertible tablet has a bad habit of overheating at just the wrong time. Besides I am becoming afraid of the long term effects of lap burn.
February 24th, 2007 at 1:54 am
I’m very very happy if I win Spectec SDW 820 Wifi Card, because I’ve tried searching SDIO wifi card in my country(Indonesia) and so far I haven’t found it. Thank you.

#15: Actually, my personal coach suggested that I’d do better cranking on this item when I’m up the Orinoco and out of juice. Hell, I’ll give it a try cause the eels just leave my hands all raw.
February 24th, 2007 at 1:13 pm
Hi Judie!
I would love to have the #1, iMate JAQ3. I no longer have a smartphone–I sold my old Blackberry last year, and my Tapwave Zodiac2 a few weeks ago to make ends meet and pay off the accumulated debt caused by my love of shiny new gadgets. Now I’m sad, working 7 days a week, without a smartphone or pda. I can’t afford to buy a new anything for a long while. I can’t check my gmail with my nearly dead Razr. The keys stick, and it turns itself off for no reason. Please help out a fellow gadget addict. I really need a new phone that will keep me productive, connected and entertained. Thanks!

8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset
Oh, give me these ‘phones, that work all on their owns,
Without need for an iPod to play;
And then music I’ll hear, with my gnarley new gear,
And won’t have to buy one off eBay.
‘Phones, phones, are the rage,
Without need for an iPod to play;
And then music I’ll hear, with my gnarley new gear,
And won’t have to buy one off eBay.

#7 Jetart Aluminum Notebook Cooler:
I want to give the fan in my Acer TravelMate a helping hand. So far I’ve been using a reusable pink jelly filled thing (meant to reduce brusing/ headaches) from the freezer, but it 1. produces too much condensation on the computer and 2. it thaws out after about 20 minutes and then I have to put it back in the freezer. I didn’t even know there was a proper way to cool off my laptop until I saw your review. Thanks.
February 27th, 2007 at 2:22 am
I would be so keen to get #1 the i-Mate JAQ3. My iPaq is really giving up the ghost and with 2 children there are unfortunately lots of things that come much higher up the priority ladder than replacing Daddy’s PDA ! Fingers crossed !
February 27th, 2007 at 5:55 pm
Reason number 10: I haven’t won anything, in something like, 25 years.
Reason number 9: The last thing I won, was a turkey.
Reason number 8: That turkey was frozen.
Reason number 7: It was so deeply, throughly, and completely frozen, it took 3 days to thaw… in the oven.
Reason number 6: By the time we could cook it, Thanksgiving had passed by 2 days earlier.
Reason number 5: It was a really, I mean a really, really, really, boney Turkey. You could have easily confused it for a chicken.
Reason number 4: I ended up eating so much pumpkin pie for that Thanksgiving I am sure the incident is what caused me to develop diabetes.
Reason number 3: My dog still loves me.
Reason number 2: My lady left me.
And finally, the number 1 reason, why I could use the item number 14: Brando 1GB Mona Lisa USB Flash Card is I desperately need a way to store my bookmarks and email to travel.
February 27th, 2007 at 9:55 pm
i’d just like to say that i have never been to this site before but now i think i’ll read it regularly. i like the idea of blogs but i don’t actually read other peoples’, and i love technological gadgetry but i’ve found that most technie blogs are boring. in any case, i’d like to put in a bid for #7, the jetart cooler. i have an ibook g4 which is infamous for its cooling problems (though the silence is worth it), but sometimes i am worried about my reproductive systerm being radiated through the pillow/cardboard/textbook or whatever it is i am using to keep the heat off my lap. i really wouldn’t ask except i can’t quite get a new laptop yet and i do so love my ibook–mac fan or not, your laptop is your laptop!

1. i-mate JAQ3 MSRP
After hearing some good thinks about this device, it would be great to have one; I look forward the your review. It looks interesting (Chris L. has a vidoe of his unboxing, so I look forward fo rmore info about this).
Thanks

10. MyLight LED Clip Light
Great little device, and since it seems best for phone recharging, it would be great since that is what I would need it for. It we be a great companion to the crank-led flashlight I already have.
March 1st, 2007 at 9:13 am
15. Datexx SuperBattery
Hooohhh!
Well, since I crossed my posting for the MyClip, and put my information for the SuperBattery there, I’ll put my info for the MyClip here [sorry for the confusion]:
This is a cool looking little light clip, that would be great for my wife to read with in bed, and while travelling in the car. But, more likely, my son (4 years old) will play with it in the car.
Looks and sounds like a great book light gadget.
March 1st, 2007 at 9:19 am
19. Datexx Outback PowerBank
This sounds like another great alternate power charge for emergencies, and I would like to have this, would be great for my son to play with the motion sensor, too.
March 1st, 2007 at 9:21 am
21. Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player
This sounds like a great little easy to use mp3 player, that my wife would get a great deal of use from, while exercising and puttering. Now she lugs her laptop (Mac) around to listen to podcasts and stuff.
March 1st, 2007 at 9:26 am
22. Datexx UltraBattery
I’m being a little dyslexic or something and keep crossing my posts and put in my description for the PowerBank (which would be cool for portability) but mentioned the motion sensing features of this one.
Sorry again for the confusion. But either of these would be good to have.
Thanks.
March 1st, 2007 at 1:28 pm
Woah nelly number 1.
O Dearest, O Darlingest
O Fairest Damsel
And Damsels,
And Dudes?
Um lemmie end this poem ‘fore
You snort and start to snooze.
It would be AMAZING if I had that lil number.
Here’s my serious appeal:
Reason 1: Long Distance Relationship – VOIP / WIFI/CAMERA
I’ve brainstormed ways to avoid crazy long-distance phone bills and a portable WIFI device is most promising.
- my sweetie and I are both college undergraduates
- there is VOIP software that supports Windows Mobile 5.0
- both our campuses are fully-wireless
- we would be able to text/talk/swap images & videos from anywhere on and around campus, for free
- I don’t have a camera. Camera’s are useful for family and bf communication.
Reason 2: C-c-cCOLD – BLUETOOTH
- ME: CA native, going to college in Pittsburgh, PA
- I’m used to CA weather and there’s a rather popular campus notion that when God made Pittsburgh, he made it completely out of Rain and Snow
- Bluetooth would allow me to keep my hands in my pockets and my head fully snuggled in warm fabric while communicating with my sweetie
Reason 3: Perrrrty – DESIGN
- That device is slim and sexy.
- I’m slim and sexy.
- Nuff said
Reason 4: I’m an engineering major – STANDBY / PORTABLE WIFI / SYNC
- One of my friends took all the classes this year that I’m going to take next year… and she claims she half-lived in the labs. It would be nice not to have to freak out about charge.
- I am ALWAYS online. ALWAYS. And I made the mistake a couple years ago of buying a 15.4” laptop to last me all four years… the idea of having something significantly more portable to check my email on makes my knees weak.
- The ability to sync schedules and notes to a portable device? Excuse me, I’m drooling.
- Bluetooth = fewer wires = heaven
Reason 4: I’m a student – PRICE/ABILITIES
- I work. My boyfriend works. I still wouldn’t be able to spend money on a gadget like this. When the VOIP idea hit my head I started shopping around for the cheapest, grungiest compatible device. Okay maybe I’m exaggerating a lil. Then I saw this. And said ****************!.
This yardsale kinda thing is an awesome idea.
I do have a little pity for you for all the responses you’ve been getting.
I swear this baby would be well-treated and well-loved and well-used.
Thank you,
Jaime

Brando 1GB Mona Lisa USB Flash Card
1. Sleek and sexy always a plus.
2. Emily Dickinson and Leonardo Da Vinci are my top two most-sung-about heroes.
3. I’ve stole i mean borrowed
one of those lil guitar neck things from my brother. I don’t know what they’re called.. but they’re meant to hold guitar pics, I believe. Anyway, I use it as a bracelet to hold an emergency $20 and my ID everywhere I go. This baby would strap in there nicely.
March 1st, 2007 at 2:08 pm
22. Datexx UltraBattery MSRP – $50.00
I carry my cell charger around with my at all times cuz I’m always shifting btwn school/apt or home/bf. It would be sweet to be able to leave the charger in a locker by the labs at school and in the car when I’m home.
This extra convenience honestly didn’t really occur to me until I started looking through your list. But yeah, it would make things easier.
March 1st, 2007 at 2:11 pm
Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player
I don’t have high demands when it comes to an MP3 player.
I need something I can wear while breakdancing, jogging, and working out at the gym.
I bought myself an ipod shuffle because of it’s convenient size and clip-on ability. I don’t use itunes so i don’t care about that compatibility.
And then I put my clothes in the washing machine a week later.
With the ipod shuffle in a pocket.
Now I’m sad and I never want to see an ipod shuffle ever again.
This would be a fine replacement.
March 1st, 2007 at 2:43 pm
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag
After dishing out for that laptop way back when I was but a wee lass, I felt guilty buying a nice bag and now have an uncomfortable-ass-cheap Targus bag that I hate wearing.
Now.. I’ve learned better than to try lugging my poorly-chosen-sized laptop around often, so I really would only need the bag for books.
I generally lug the books around by themselves or use The Uncomfy Targus, which is fine. I just do more back exercises and massage my shoulders more often. Heh.
The reason I’m angling for something nicer is my friends and I are taking an apartment off-campus next year that is about a mile away…….
Two people will have cars (6 people total) and we’re planning to coordinate so we all have a ride to and from school every day, but I know that’s not going to happen, well, perfectly. And that I’ll probably be lugging books a mile in sopping weather more often than I’d like.
So I guess I’m saying I’d like to be pampered and have a nicer carrying case. One that is comfortable, durable, and wont let rain water leak onto my books.
March 1st, 2007 at 3:14 pm
7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler
I have a Compaq Presario R4000 15.4″ notebook computer that I’ve had since the summer of ‘05 and am about to send in for repairs. This beast is LOUD. It’s definitely gotten a lot louder than when I initially bought it… but HP says that’s general wear and tear and i’ve just gotta deal with it. Everyone raises their eyebrows and coughs when they hear it turn on and go VROOM. It definitely gets hot, too. And I’m not a gamer so it’s not like I’m being crazy demanding on it.
Something I could set on my desk that would deal with this loud, hot issue would be welcome.
I don’t have a desktop; I rely purely on my laptop. And trust me, it is in near-constant use, poor thing.
March 1st, 2007 at 3:23 pm
6. Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag
I didn’t see this. But yeah, this would work great too (see post for #2). It looks very element-resistant. It doesn’t seem as crazy comfy as the other though.
March 1st, 2007 at 3:25 pm
20. Cordgo
What engineering student does not suffer from too many cords.
What clean engineering student does not start feeling disgusted by his/her over-use of twisty-ties and tape to limit the cord nastiness.
Useful.
March 1st, 2007 at 4:18 pm
13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light
Because I always work outside and some additional light would come in handly
March 1st, 2007 at 4:19 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3
because I need a new good smart phone
March 1st, 2007 at 4:20 pm
7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler
because when I use my wife’s laptop my “lap” get awfully hot.
March 1st, 2007 at 4:21 pm
8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset
I would love to wear this at work. How funny would that be?!
March 1st, 2007 at 7:03 pm
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag
I need to carry lots of things to and fro work, and my current bag is needing replacement very soon.
March 1st, 2007 at 7:06 pm
6. Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag
I need to carry lots of things to and fro work, and my current bag is needing replacement very soon.
March 1st, 2007 at 7:11 pm
21. Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player
Because my mp3 playe4r is sooo old.
March 2nd, 2007 at 8:00 am
1. i-mate JAQ3
Because I’d like a smart phone with a half way decent camera (2 MP)> I like the screen and I like the way it feels. My current 2 year old phone is nearly falling apart. (I think secretly they make phones only to last up to 2 years.)
March 2nd, 2007 at 8:55 am
1. i-mate JAQ3
Because my old phone is just that: old. I need a phone that has the latest and greatest stuff.
March 2nd, 2007 at 2:47 pm
#1 – who wouldn’t want one of these?!?
March 2nd, 2007 at 2:48 pm
#16 – I must protect my precious Q!
March 2nd, 2007 at 2:48 pm
#17 – WiFi!!!
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:06 pm
#21. Just might save a marriage as my wife and I often fight over my existing smaller one. I’d let her have that one and secretly reap the many benefits! Thanks.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:07 pm
I’d like #18 please, the keychain, purely because nobody else seems to be giving it any love! And remember, I registered especially for this competition…
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:15 pm
8. This too would save a marriage. Thanks.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:17 pm
2. I would love to upgrade to a newer bag. Thanks.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:20 pm
10. Let your light shine among men. or women. I guess I would need a light 1st! Thanks.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:42 pm
#1. I would give the i-mate to my wife as an upgrade from her freebie Nokia that would allow her to check her email without trudging up and down the stairs carrying our 1 week old.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:45 pm
#13 would sure be handy. We’ve been working on restoring a run-down 25′ sailboat for our Sea Scouts to use and we’re getting close to launching it. The engine is still pretty questionable and we’re likely looking forward to having to tinker with it in a dark and cramped engine compartment far from shore one of these days. This work light would make that a whole lot easier! Thanks…
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:46 pm
#7 – While it would be to use with my laptop, it would also reassure my wife. Keeping the raging inferno of an E1705 off my lap and cooled would eliminate the possibility of any long term damage that heat could cause to my reproductive system.
March 2nd, 2007 at 3:59 pm
I would love to get #1. Why: because I would love to try to get linux running on it (as with nearly all other computer-like gadget in my house.
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:08 pm
I would like to try for #8. I live in Boston and just got a job that is a 45 minute walk away (I’m trying to save money and not take the subway). It would be great to have an MP3 player so I can stop staring jealously at all the people who have iPods. Also, in your review you mention how good they are for athletes. I’m training for a big paintball game and I would love to have music to listen to at the gym. Thanks for the chance!
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:09 pm
#2 please. I am always looking for a better way to haul all of my gadgets and protect them from the elements.
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:16 pm
I am also going to try my luck with item#1 JAQ3. It will help me organize my office stuff and to grab my emails on the go.
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:16 pm
#15 for me please. I don’t know that I’d spring the bucks for this, but it is certainly something I’d love to have in my bag o gadgets!
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:30 pm
#19 please. I love swiss army type products like this. I always seem to be trying to find a better jack of all trades device like this.
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:30 pm
#22 please. Always looking for another way to charge devices on the go.
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:32 pm
I would love to be the lucky winner of #1 i-mate JAQ3. I have been out of the country with the military for a couple of years and will need a new phone when I return. My PDA is also in bad need of replacement so this could solve two of my problems at the same time!
Thanks for the great site!
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:32 pm
#1 please. I love any and all gadgets, especially when they look like that.
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:34 pm
#1 is easy to choose. Please. I need it because my wife has cut my toy budget. My PocketPC is a 3 year old Toshiba E830. I had to buy a second-hand Nokia E62 to get a decend ’smart’ phone, but I miss the versatility of PocketPC.
#15 – now who doesn’t want a wind-up, rechargable flashlight-cum-gadget-charging device. I plan to take up canoing along the Amazon just so I can get lost and have to recharge my phone with the wind-up toy to get rescued!
#19 – See #15 above! This one I will use for when I am hiking across Peru!
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:40 pm
Zen 512MB Nano Plus MP3 Player
Please let me win this item. I seriously need to work out and this device alone will get me going. I need music to keep me pumped up and will sooner or later get me the ladies
March 2nd, 2007 at 4:48 pm
i-mate JAQ3
Ahhh, let me have this!!! I recently got my phone stolen. I was at the library taking a nap and noticed that my phone (Cingular 8525) is gone!!! Someone has told me that a guy walked up behind me and bent over (pretending he was tying his shoe) and just walked out very fast. All my schedule, date, and contacts are all gone. I’m studying to become a business major and work at this company that constantly email schedules and the 8525 kept me up to date. Please let me have this phone so i can usefully manage my schedule again.
March 2nd, 2007 at 5:08 pm
#1 [Jaq3]
I would love to win it. I live in chile and here the most advanced Phone/PDa hybrid avaible is… the treo 650. Buying from USA is quite expensive because of the import duties and taxes!!. March 2nd, 2007 at 6:52 pm

I would like 6. Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag for reasons listed above but to save cross referencing a busy thread here it is again, because I have just gone back to University and now being a poor struggling student I like to ride my bike to Uni but have not found a bag that can carry what I need comfortably & stylishly this looks just like what I need
March 2nd, 2007 at 6:58 pm
I would like 15. Datexx SuperBattery as I use my I-mate Jasjam quite heavily at Uni but also for entertainment to & from so I can quite easily get drained.
March 2nd, 2007 at 7:03 pm
I would like 22. Datexx UltraBattery as I use my I-mate Jasjam quite heavily at Uni but also for entertainment to & from so I can quite easily get drained.

I would like 14. Brando 1GB Mona Lisa USB Flash Card as I do need a usb Flash drive for uni and this looks really cool and is quite handy
March 2nd, 2007 at 7:29 pm
I to must put my hand up for 1. i-mate JAQ3 for my Father I am quite happy with my I-mate Jasjam but as Dad has a CDMA ( I-mate PDA2k-EVDO) and here in Aus. with Tel$tra poised to switch off CDMA sometime soon it’s time to start looking at new devices.
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:09 pm
I’d like to throw in my hat for #1, the Jaq3. Why? because I really miss the feeling of having a large-ish brick in my pocket to remind me that I’m carrying a phone.
Ok, in truth, T9 data entry on my Cingy 3125 is has turned out to be a pain. I miss a built-in keyboard, like my old iPAQ 4155.
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:17 pm
I want to request the i-mate JAQ3. But it is not for me, but for my wife. She is in need a device with a thumb board, so she can use the device a PIM and still be able edit and update items easily; as apposed to her, current, i-mate Smartphone. Thanks, in advance, for the consideration.
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:23 pm

I want one for emergeny use for ages.
please let me win!
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:27 pm
I also like to win 9. Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader MSRP – $48.99, since mine is broken recently, I m just using my camera as my SD card reader at the moment …

March 2nd, 2007 at 9:29 pm
i would also like to win this one: 7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler MSRP – $59.99.

This seems good too: 20. Cordgo MSRP – $9.95 (one of two that came, has never been opened). I usually go to the gym with messy cables, I think this might help me tidy up the headphone cable afterall~ many thanks~
March 2nd, 2007 at 10:26 pm
I would like the i-mate JAQ3. I would like to finally get a pda and I feel that a smartphone is a more viable option than just a pda because I am more likely to carry the phone…
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:36 pm
I’d like to throw my hat in for the jaq 3, and I have a little story as to why. I used to be a palm guy but I found this amazing Toshiba Genio e550g at an amazing price one day, so i sold my palm to get enough to by the Genio. Over a year later in a freak mopeding accident the moped landed on me and crushed it. I even have pictures, and a few months later I dropped my razr less then 3 feet off the charger to the floor and it stopped working. I’m a student so money isn’t a thing that comes quick to me, especially when I’m repairing my transportation, a moped.
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:55 pm
2 id bag would be great, I’m looking for a nice gear bag like that, I thought I found an eddy bauer but the clasp broke and backpacks are too bulky.
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:58 pm
8 head phones, I lent my friend my headphones for his zune since he broke his in a car door, and he broke them, I think he went through about 5 pairs in 4 days. Riding my little moped is getting a little boring without sound now.
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:59 pm
I’d like to have the 1). i-mate JAQ3. My O2 XDA III is so horrible and lacks even a camera! Sometimes the battery falls out of the XDA unexpectedly (and then all my data was away in the first time, because I didn’t expect it! Had the luck to get it restored…) and it often hangs-up itself, so I have to retype the pin (no real security by the way, as it should to this everytime!). It also doesn’t have a real keylock, so it often rings in my study courses or sth. improper like that!
It’s just a mess a around.

And of course I could finally use semapedia and shotcode tags because of the camera too.
Thank you very much!
And why did I buy this? Oh, I just saw good reviews everywhere and I bought it at ebay, so bad luck!
If I’d have the i-mate JAQ3, I’d not only have no trouble anymore but I could trust this thing and I would use it more often and professionally!
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:59 pm
I’d also/or like to have the 3). OtterBox 7000 Series Laptop Case, as my new 2400 € AcerTravelmate Notebook had to be sent in repair after just two and a half months, although I even used a professional (!) Elecom case from the first day on! So I don’t think my laptop will stand this any longer without! ;-D
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:00 am
The same here with the 7). Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler: My notebook only had to get repaired, as the main CPU fan fell out!! So I really had no chance to save my data, although the HDD was ok and I got the HDD securely disassembled stored at home until I got back my laptop from the repair center!
So I need it to prevent further damage! ^_^ Also as I have the O2 PDA, I talked about above and I don’t want to use my BT mouse all the time as I am at home (but I do it now, because I don’t want to plug & unplug my normal Logitech all the time!) and I also have a printer (USB
) and such things I all could be able to connect!! =) Great. ^^
And also an additional reason is: I looked it up, but I can’t buy this thing anywhere here in Germany! I need it from you!! Thanks! ^_^
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:00 am
12 mp3/sd reder I had a card reader similar that didn’t play music and I lent it to a friend when I made a business report for him. He paid pretty well being way behind and in a bind but broke my reader, the pay equaled greater then the reader but it went towards buying supplies for my finals.
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:01 am
And I absolutely need this 20). Cordgo, as my earphones are dying shortly! I have them (Sony MDR-EX 71 SLB) now over two years and they got broken (without me doing anything!) two (!!) times! And shortly after the two years, the rubber at the cables began to dissolve itself and now fades everywhere! It is just sad, these are really good In-Ear-headphones, but the cables (especially at the neck region) shows the bare copper within. I feel really shabby with those dissolved cables and I need this Cordgo to secure these last days of my Sony MDR-EX 71 SLB in a honorable way ^_^ and afterwards of course my new earphones, because as you might know, there’s seldomly a thing like that packed as an accessory!
And the alternative product CABLEYOYO POP are also not available to buy in Germany (not even via ebay).
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:02 am
#1 the i-mate JAQ3
I would love to have a Pocket PC phone – and especially the thinnest PPC Phone on the Planet!
My lucky day?
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:02 am
18 sd key chain, I always seem to be using and carrying sd, it’s rare for me not to have an sd card around, usually a lot and for many things so im always looking for more and a good case and I need a new keychain.
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:06 am
Number 14, Mona Lisa USB Flash Card
Because you can never have too much memory – and this is cool.
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:12 am
#21, Zen NANO MP3 player
MP3 players are easy to lose or break. I need another.
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:16 am
#12, Brando USB MP3 player and card reader.
Put a spare SD card to use!
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:37 am
#3 OtterBox 7000 Laptop Case.
I am a paleontologist and this is ideal for my laptop while on the field. Thank You for this opportunity!
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:43 am
Hello,
Can I please have no#1 -Jaq 3?
In the last 6 months have tried not less than 4 Win Mobile devices. Still looking for one to best suit my life style.
Guess Jaq3 may fit the bill….
Thank you!
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:51 am
Hello,
Can I have no#19 Outback Powerpack-I live an active life-Climbing, tracking, canyoning.
While on camping site I like to use my PDA to record few things or to review pictures.
I always need additional power source.
This looks like the one for me.
Thank you!
March 3rd, 2007 at 5:59 am
I wish I won the i-mate JAQ3 (number 1) because it would be useful when I`m attending lectures at university. Despite my eye glasses I can`t see very well the examples the lecturer is showing on the screen but those examples are available on the Net and with this I would be able to see them better (I have no problems with seeing when I`m reading a book for example).
This would also save me and my boyfriend from numerous fights we have about who gets to use the computer (we can`t afford but one and that one ends up being on almost 24/7)..
March 3rd, 2007 at 7:04 am
#17, the WiFi card.
I would LOVE to be able to have WiFi on my old faithful XDA II. It would let me stay in touch with friends while I’m away without having to pay through the nostrils to use GPRS, which is extremely expensive in the UK.
I really don’t want to have to upgrade to a new phone just to get WiFi, as I love my XDA II, but being able to add WiFi to it would be a total lifesaver.
Your generosity is very much appreciated!
Thanks!
March 3rd, 2007 at 7:12 am
#21, the Zen MP3 Player
This would be just the perfect gift for my friend’s birthday in a couple of months. He’s been wanting a portable music player for ages.
It would *really* make his day if I was able to give him this!
Thankyou once again!
March 3rd, 2007 at 7:48 am
I would like #1 the JAQ3 because all I have is a dumb phone and I could really use a smart phone (Ok- it’s actually a Pocket PC but that just makes it even smarter) to help make me smarter.
March 3rd, 2007 at 8:04 am
#1 I know it’s the most popular item, but I will try my luck at it too.
It would be great to win the Jaq3, as I really like the Blackjack or HTC S620 form factor, but I would miss too much the touchscreen and all the pocket Pc software that don’t come in Smartphone flavor, and that I really can’t go without, like µBook
My wife would be happy too to see me without a bulky, heavy device in my pant pocket, thanks to the thin profile of the Jaq3.
The #21 seems great too, it would be great to win it as it would be a perfect MP3 player to take with me while running
March 3rd, 2007 at 9:13 am
I’d love #1 of course. Now that’s I’m back in the city and out of Southern Indiana/Southern Illinois, I’d love to have a converged device to see how I would use it. It would be interesting to see if I spend more time working on the thing or playing on it. Thanks
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:12 am
I want number 01. i-mate JAQ3.
Reason:
I don’t really have a good reason for this. I don’t need it cause i’m not into Convergence devices. I’m using an Axim X51V and a Panasonic cell phone.
My Axim is great and i use it intensively for organizing my life and saving my brain cells to actually plan and do things than to remember what to do.
My cell phone is lightweight and great for what a phone is really for: talking and messaging.
So if i win this JAQ3, i will send it to my friend whose name has something in common with the name of this phone. That it.
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:42 am
I want number 2. Tom Bihn ID Bag.
Reason:
I love casual bags from Tom Bihn because:
- not using under-paid labour in China.
- YKK Zippers.
- The “every where common prejudice” aka “president is an idiot” printed on the washing tag.
- Most of all, this brand build bags to really use, drag along, to be rugged, unlike Bally, Bottega, Ferragamo…etc.. which are built mainly to be shown around.
Of all the items i comment to get, i dearly want this for myself.
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:45 am
#1
I’m poor
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:51 am
#14
1gb, man, i could fit like two and a half episodes of bsg on that.
March 3rd, 2007 at 11:28 am
I want number 9. Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader .
Reason:
I am using a credit-card-size card-reader that can read all the cards i have and it works well and is convenient. This PROgear-G5 looks cool and i would not feel bad giving it a place on my desk but it is true that i would not purchase it unless my current card-reader breaks. So it would be a nice touch of luck if i get it for free.
March 3rd, 2007 at 11:29 am
I am most jazzed about the contest. what a cool way to spread the love.
i am interested in #8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset, what a cool way to combine comfort, usability, and the cool factor.
If I could squeeze one more request in, i would also be interested in #13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light. once I read it was rechargeable, well that was it i was sold. we do alot of camping and this sounds like a really sweet solution to a camp lighting problem.
THX again gear diary for running a most excellent promotion.
March 3rd, 2007 at 11:37 am
I want number 10. MyLight LED Clip Light.
Reason:
I don’t use light when i sleep but this will buy me a smile on my girl-friend’s face. The pink color of it will also remind her of me for a particular reason i would not share.
March 3rd, 2007 at 11:38 am
I’d like a shot at #1, the JAQ3. So I can sell it and use the money to buy student sister a laptop.
hey a,
i gave my comp. to that guy on classifieds to see if he could fix it. he said my hard drive is the problem. its broken and he said its probably not worth buying a new one to fix it.
anyways…:( umm but hey if you get some time can you try to go to: http://www.mcgill.ca/classified/computer/
here a lot of students are selling comps…i dont know if its good or not.
anyways thanks a
love you.
P
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:13 pm
I’d like to put a request for #17 as well. If I can’t do the laptop for little sister, I might be able to rig up my old Ipaq with WiFi. Worth a try. Thanks.
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:22 pm
I would like a shot to win #1 i-mate JAQ3
My iPAQ rx3715 died two weeks ago for no reason (Well… actually I think some water got into it when I was running in the rain). I am a full time EE grad student while working part-time. Money has been tight or I won’t have to work part-time. I have been relying on my PPC to help me juggling between my work schedule and meetings for the past 3 years. Just like almost everyone else, I use it to reply email and listen to musics (I have no ipod). I have also used to it with my GPS receiver (which is also collecting dust right now) as my navigator while I am on the road. I have been searching for a replacement unit and it would be nice if I can win this unit and save a couple hundreds dollars. Since the i-mate can also be used as a phone, it would let me carry less while doing more. I won’t keep on nagging but what I have mentioned is basically why I would like to win it. May the most needed win this cool gadget. Thanks.
March 3rd, 2007 at 1:30 pm
I’d like to request #21. The reason is my girlfiend had her apartment broken into not long ago, a lot of things were stolen but the police were able to track the thieves down. However, she doesn’t make the best money (and me being a college student, I have zilch) so it’s hard for her to recooperate all that was lost. I recently was able to get her a donated computer so I think it’d be great to give something like this to her.
March 3rd, 2007 at 1:35 pm
The other item I’m interested in is #7. The reason I’m requesting it is a friend of mine has an older Systemax laptop and it overheats on him really easily. I chuckle every time I’m over there visiting and see his method for overcoming the heat problem – propping up the back of the laptop with two orange bottle caps (from 20 oz. soda bottles). He’s a good friend and could use a better cooling method for his laptop.
March 3rd, 2007 at 1:42 pm
I guess I’ll throw in my chance for #1. I’m a big gadget fan myself and have had various handhelds over the years (PPCs, PsPCs, HPCs). I’m never able to buy the latest and the greatest device out there as my current device is a iPaq 4315 (great little device by the way, especially with the blue backlit built-in keyboard and built-in wifi). It’d be great to have the JAQ as a primary device for my day-to-day mobile needs.
March 3rd, 2007 at 1:56 pm
I would love item no. 2, the Tom Bihn ID Bag. I need a new laptop bag!
March 3rd, 2007 at 1:58 pm
I would love item 3, the OtterBox 7000. I travel a lot and go through laptop bags pretty quick, so this would be a great travel case!
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:00 pm
Item no. 6, the Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag would be a great addition to my laptop bag collection.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:01 pm
The Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler, Item No. 7, would be great to have for my PowerBook, since it gets so hot holding it on my lap.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:02 pm
I would love to give my daughter the Brando USB MP3 Player + SD/MMC Card Reader (#12) – she’ always wanting to listen to her sister’s MP3 player…
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:02 pm
I wouldn’t mind the MyLight LED Clip Light, Item 10. It looks kinda cool
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:03 pm
And I would be a fool not to want #1 – the JAQ3. I really want to try a device with a QWERTY keyboard…
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:04 pm
This would be a great replacemnet for my aging iPod Shuffle. I can hand that down to my little girl. Brando USB MP3 Player + SD/MMC Card Reader, Itme 12.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:05 pm
I’ll go out on a limb for #1 (Imate). But this device isn’t for me specifically. I’m happy with my 8525. It is for my girlfriend who NEEDS something to organize her crazy schedule so she has more time to see me. She has a crazy work schedule without a Windows Mobile phone to organize it she will never move beyond the very outdated paper organizer. I would have bought her one sooner, but I’m waiting on a potential new job before I’ll make any big purchases.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:07 pm
Item no. 13, the TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light is a great looking work light that I could use while working on my car.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:09 pm
The Datexx SuperBattery, item no. 15, would be great to have traveling with me.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:10 pm
The Cordgo is not flashy, but it would be great to use with my Sony MDR headphones that have a really long cord.
March 3rd, 2007 at 2:12 pm
Yet another great addition to my traveling arsenal this would be; item 22, the Datexx UltraBattery.
March 3rd, 2007 at 3:06 pm
I must be the umpteenth person who requested for a JAQ3, but here is my reason for why I want it.
I have been blessed with having used pocketpcs since their early days (if you consider the iPaq 3650 early) and even joined an early contest for the dream PDA way back then in the gadgeteer. Suffice it to say i did not win that one. I appreciate your love for all things tech and I have grown with you and Julie while you painstakingly reviewed each and every new device that ever came out.
You totally get what I and a lot of other techies look for in a new device.
Getting the JAQ3 would be an honor for me to receive because it will come from the very person I have grown up with through the years and will cherish and care for it the way I know you would’ve wanted me to.
Whether I get it or not, I want to thank you for all the years of work you’ve put in to making us love and appreciate our devices more…
March 3rd, 2007 at 3:51 pm
#1 would really help me keep track of my scheduled recording sessions.
March 3rd, 2007 at 3:56 pm
#4 would be great for keeping my Zune running during long trips
March 3rd, 2007 at 4:02 pm
#10 would be nice. I could use a little light in my life
March 3rd, 2007 at 4:03 pm
If I win #13, I’ll ask the aliens to give you guys some of their gadgets.
March 3rd, 2007 at 4:06 pm
#14 – I’d love to have my own little Mona Lisa. I’m not sure if Iwould use her to carry data or as a Vista Readyboost drive, but you can’t go wrong with good ol’ Mona.
March 3rd, 2007 at 6:20 pm
1 – iMate Jaq3… This would be awesome… rubberrized case, PocketPC instead of smartphone, thumbboard, stylus, GSM, perfect!
I’ve made the switch from PocketPC to the smartphone platform due to the size of the devices. I miss the added functionality of PocketPC, so this is the perfect device for me… Size of a smartphone, PocketPC functionality and a keyboard. Sweetness in a box!
March 3rd, 2007 at 6:23 pm
4 – Belkin Tunepower… Ok, this is probably a bit “out there”. I have a passion for long distance motorcycle riding. I mean LONG distance. My last major trip was from Jacksonville, FL to SanDiego, CA. 48 hours of riding, with only one stop in Texas where I spent long enough to charge anything up. Motorcycles don’t have much room for cigarette lighters and stuff, so having a big ole honking battery on my Zune would be perfect! I toss that puppy in the tank bag, plug in my helmet speakers and I’m set all the way across the country!
March 3rd, 2007 at 6:24 pm
9 – Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader… I have individual card readers right now… that means USB hubs and cables all over the place. I don’t care about the size, since this critter would be permanently parked on my desk. The multi-format capability would allow me to get rid of a bunch of my individual readers… SD for my digicam, MMC for my wife’s MP3 player, CF for my Rebel Digital camera and my GPS, Mini-SD for my wife’s phone, micro-sd with my cell phone. This would make life much easier and my desk a lot neater.
March 3rd, 2007 at 8:01 pm
Of course I would like to put my hat into the ring for the #1 JAQ3.
My wife just became an agent’s assistant and NEEDS something more robust than her 3 year old candybar nokia.
THANKS!
March 3rd, 2007 at 8:04 pm
I would like to try for the #2 messenger bag also. My poor old Dickies bag is starting to go, and I’d rather not have to get a backpack…
THANKS!
March 3rd, 2007 at 8:12 pm
I would like to try for the #19 power supply. We’ve been planning a couple trips coming up and one in particular, a device liek this could really come in handy.
Thanks!
March 3rd, 2007 at 8:15 pm
Oh heck one more.
The #22 ultra battery would help out a lot! My smartphone tanks about the end of the day, and I hate having to swap batteries. Something like this could go a long way to keeping me in a full head of hair.
Thanks!
March 3rd, 2007 at 8:17 pm
Please pick me for the Jaq3. I have been having QWERTY withdrawals for a long time. My phone is falling apart. That phone would be perfect for me. I’ve had a Windows Mobile device for each Windows Mobile OS.
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:11 pm
#1 to represent my first post. More over, I just returned the only cell phone that I ever had today (it was a work one) and I now have no phone. I think that I could more than easily overcome the loss were I to gain such an interesting piece of near-to-all-inclusive technology such as the JAQ3. I could also have fun at the expense of my brother-in-law, Jack. Finally, it would help me so much to have the actual model in my hand while I read your review!!
BTW, ANYBODY who considers Chris Leckness as a great point of reference is tops in my book!
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:16 pm
#19 would be an excellent companion for my Axim X51v as well as a few assorted kids toys that my young’uns drag around. I have run into a couple of those lousy “dead battery moments” that just cap off an already not too great day. Time to fight fire with…. physical exertion!
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:20 pm
#10 because I actually tried to order a model similar to this for my wife as a stocking stuffer at Christmas but actually bought something entirely different than planned… and that I didn’t wind up giving to her. No, I’m not at liberty to discuss what it was in any more detail… please don’t ask… (insert awkward nervous laughter here)
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:30 pm
#2 because I just read the review and this seems like the perfect bag for me to haul all the gear that I now have to transport for my new job!
The bonus of this bag: I will often cycle to work and the bad appears to convert so easily from a back-pack mode to a more traditional shoulder strap mode that I could carry everything in the same bag all day!!!
March 3rd, 2007 at 10:35 pm
#14 would certainly be a fantastic alternative to carrying a USB key around my neck all of the time… And I just may have a way to customize the image à la DIY…
March 4th, 2007 at 1:16 am
I’d like to get #1 – I’ve been looking at getting something like this for my daughter. She’s graduating in May and going out of the country before college and could use something like this
March 4th, 2007 at 4:14 am
#1 iMate Jaq3
I’ve read some review about this and it seems to have weak radio performance. However it has a very interesting form factor, so I’m deeply interested in.
March 4th, 2007 at 4:18 am
17. Spectec SDW-820 SDIO WiFi Card
It would be a nice present for my old h2210.
March 4th, 2007 at 5:33 am
#1. i-mate JAQ3 PLEASE!!!
I have been without a pocket pc phone since 2/19
Now that I no longer have one, I realize how much my life revolves around my pocket pc phone. It’s not that I was abusing my XDA IIs and broke it. I took really good care of it. I kept it plugged in every time I went to bed and air dusted it almost every week. It was rain soaked and died when I was caught totally offguard by the 2/19 rain storm in Southern California. Had I stayed in Orange County where I lived, my XDA IIs could have been saved because it rained very little there. Instead, I took the train down to San Diego where the rainfall was almost 5 times heavier!!! I had an umbrella with me, but in this rain you really needed a rain poncho to keep you from getting wet. Before I braved the storm and walked down Cedar street toward the bay from the Motel 6 near the 5 freeway to reach the train station so I wouldn’t miss my train back to Orange County, I took the precaution to put my XDA IIs in my backpack instead of my front pants pocket like I always do. By the time I reached Indiana & C street where the train station was, I found out my backpack was totally soaked!!! And there gone my XDA IIs
My Chinese zodiac sign is tiger and I was told this year of the pig might be a difficult one for me. I didn’t expect the pig to get me good right on the second day of its year. I saved for more than a year to be able to buy my XDA IIs and I have started saving again for a replacement since the day I got back from San Diego. Though I try to think I’m a brave guy, I don’t think I can last another day without my pocket pc. I miss getting phone calls and hear my XDA IIs telling who they’re from. I miss my MP3s. I almost went insame trying to remember my brother’s work number when I was unable to reach his personal number yesterday. I miss having my TV guide right at the palm of my hand. I miss being able to access my local listings any time, any place I want by just going online with my pocket pc phone. Without my XDA IIs, I don’t know how I’m going to live. I’ve started to believe I’m cursed this year. When I took the train down to San Diegon on 2/18, the first day of the year of the pig, the train didn’t run and Amtrak had to bus us down there. It took twice as long. On the second day, the pig got my lifeline-my pocket pc. I don’t think I can face the pig alone, Judie. Only you can help me get back at the pig. Give me the i-mate JAQ3 and break the curse!!! Thanks.
PS: The king size photos you have in your JAQ3 review and your mention of the rubberized grippy coating sold me on this unit!!! If you decide I’m not worthy of the JAQ3, might I ask for a rain poncho? It’s not on the list but it’s probably the only other thing I really need right now. Thanks again.
March 4th, 2007 at 9:52 am
#1 would be perfect for me. I’ve been feeling a little down at work recently as I feel my efforts to create a better team are not appreciated. The JAQ3 would really cheer me up as it could replace my old XPhone II and ancient Sony Clie T665C.
March 4th, 2007 at 10:33 am
I could use #3 the Otterbox Laptop Case. I just picked up my first laptop for work (I have a Furniture Restoration Shop) and was wondering how I was going to protect it from dust. When I saw your review for the Otterbox it was a no brainer what case I needed to use.
Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
March 4th, 2007 at 1:54 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3, because I want to be the envy of all the guys I hang out. We’re pretty much all geeks/nerds in our group and we’re all strutting our proverbial antlers by displaying the latest cool gadgets we have. This phone would make me top banana with them, at least for a little while.
March 4th, 2007 at 2:04 pm
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag, because I can place all my gear and textbooks inside this bag. Because I’m a guy, I wouldn’t mind and would prefer to wear the bad across the chest, but I like the feature that would allow my girlfriend to borrow the bag and wear it over her shoulder if she wanted to.
March 4th, 2007 at 2:06 pm
13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light, because I’d find it very useful to walk between classes at night or to use it when I hang out with the guys when we go camping.
March 4th, 2007 at 2:09 pm
8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset, because I actually go skiing and snowboarding so I could use the headphones for the types of activities it was originally designed to be used during. Plus, I love my tunes!
March 4th, 2007 at 5:09 pm
Hi, My comment is for item #1, Imate JAQ3
Reason: I would like to give it to my wife as a tool for tracking ours daughter (12 years old), performance in bowling tournament (first one).
I am a huge fan of gadgets, and have a pocket pc, I am continously trying to convince my wife about how wonderful a PDA is to store, carry and find info, Yesterday our daughter had her first appeareance in a young bowling tournament, and I decided to register every score at my pocket pc in pocket excel while showing a bar graph, at the end I realize the judges make a mistake and my tool help me demonstrate to them that they need to recheck the scores and correct the error.
Finally my wife was happy, and told me that maybe she would like a PDA (she ear about the Blackberry), but later I saw your site throught pockepcthoughs.com and it seems that the JAQ3 is prety close in appeareance to the blackberry but has better capabilities. Here I am.
Thanks for allowing us to dream and maintain the hope of a free christmas gift in March!.

13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light
I’d like this light b/c I work on my car a lot and I need a bright light. And according to your review, it’s pretty durable, which is good because my last light broke because it fell to the ground.
March 4th, 2007 at 6:53 pm
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag
I’d like this bag so I can bring my stuff (books, papers, folders, gadgets, etc) to and from work.
March 4th, 2007 at 6:56 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3
I’d like this phone b/c I’ve never owned a smart phone. Plus, I’d like to see if I can resist being addicted to it. And if I can’t, I don’t mind since I’m addicted to my other gadgets.
March 4th, 2007 at 7:16 pm
I would love #1 the i-mate JAQ3 for way to many reasons? First and most importantly, my?pda recently went to that great pda grave after doing a high dive out of my pocket. “R. I. P ieces.”It also looks like a fantastic convergent device, not to mention it looks like a fantastic . And being the technogeek that I am it is just Cooool!
March 4th, 2007 at 7:17 pm
I’m in dire need of no.1 i-mate JAQ3 to replace my 4 years old Philips Fisio 820
March 4th, 2007 at 7:21 pm
9. Atech Flash PROGear-G5 28-in-1 Card Reader would be great to transfer anything to my “would be” JAQ3
March 4th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
I would love to have #7 the Jetart notebook cooler. At the moment my laptop has a tendency to burn a nice scorch mark into my desk. “Well not really but I am sure it almost could, perhaps I could heat my hot cocoa next to it though.”
March 4th, 2007 at 7:28 pm
Boy of boy #3 the otterbox 7000 laptop case would do wonders for my laptop when I travel from one train station to another. All I would need to go with that is a pair of shades, a nice black suit and handcuffs attached to me and the case to finish the special agent look
March 4th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
#14 the 1GB mona lisa cards reader would be great for adding a little bit of style to my espionage across the world. After all why be a 007 if you cant have style as well.
March 4th, 2007 at 7:35 pm
I would like #21 the Zen 512MB Nano plus Mp3 player because it looks small enough for me to use while working out at the gym and running away from Dr Evil.
March 4th, 2007 at 7:47 pm
Of all the batteries I have seen so far #19 the outback powerbank looks the most useful to me. It happens very rarely but occasionally I do get stranded on a desert island and time and time again I wish I had power for my toys and devices. If I had the powerbank I would not have to worry about what is down that dark cave.
March 4th, 2007 at 7:47 pm
The powerline fail all the time in my neighborhood. So 13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light would be very handy for me
March 4th, 2007 at 7:57 pm
# 8 the skull candy MP3 headset player would be great for keeping me warm out in the cold weather. What would be better than to have hot music playing in the cold while have comfy headphones covering my ears.
March 4th, 2007 at 8:12 pm
19. Datexx Outback PowerBank seems like a very usefull little gadget to have. I want this one.
March 4th, 2007 at 8:23 pm
Item #13, the TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light would be perfect for my 3 year old daughter, Zofia. Our house is really small but I found some private play space for her in the nook under the stairs. (It’s right next to the kitchen, so not too weird…!) We call it the “Harry Potter Room”.
It’s carpeted and painted drywall and she keeps a little chair and some dolls in there. It’s not wired for any light though. Poor thing uses a handheld flashlight. The rechargeable worklight would be perfect!
March 4th, 2007 at 8:29 pm
6. Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag. Yes! Turn me on to a new brand! I am always in search of the “right bag” and am happy to hear the nice review of the Bagaboo brand. That thing’s adorable with the star and would be a great container of all the Stuff that I just can’t leave my house without. I could use a lil stylin’.
March 4th, 2007 at 10:22 pm
I would like to win myself Item #1, the i-mate JAQ3. I’m doing my Final Year Project on developing real estate application that runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 platform. Despite coping with the emulator which come with few disadvantages while testing, i actually planning to buy a PDA for myself but have not had the budget as i have one son and expecting again. Would be much appreciated if i can win this and surely it will be fully utilize as I’m a busy mother coping with family, college and work. Thank you.
March 5th, 2007 at 7:16 am
I would really like the TerraLux WorkStar60 for two main reasons — 1) I’m always in the dark, and this might brighten up my day, 2) WorkStar sounds a lot like wordstar from the old CPM 2.2 days

March 5th, 2007 at 7:18 am
iMate JAQ3 if for no other reason than sending mail on my 2125 is a PIA — I would truely love a device with a keyboard.
Les
March 5th, 2007 at 7:41 am
#1, dont want it, dont need it. I’m 100% Palm based. Please do not force this thing on me!
March 5th, 2007 at 8:36 am
#1 – i-Mate JAQ3
Smartphone design with PPC muscle and touch screen…what more could you ask for. Keyboards or not, a touch screen is the holy grail for real PDA users – a quick note, drawing, or selection with a touch screen is far superior to trying to guess where you are on screen with the keyboard only. Navigating a website with a keyboard only device, jumping from link to link, is an experience to be enjoyed only once…and then you start losing hair follicles quickly. Kudos to i-Mate for solving the question of why we can’t have full WM5 functionality on a keyboard device.
March 5th, 2007 at 8:40 am
#22 Datexx Ultrabattery.
Sorry for double dipping here, but I will probably need the extra battery power for that WiFi battery eating feature of the JAQ3.
March 5th, 2007 at 10:12 am
13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light
I build and repair computers for my friends, so this light would come in handy when I need to see inside the computer cases that sometimes gets a little too dark.
March 5th, 2007 at 1:15 pm
8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset
This would be useful when I’m playing my xBox 360, so I don’t have to disturb anyone with the audio. Plus, I can use the mp3 feature to listen to my music while I commute.
March 5th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag
I can always use a new bag. Mine is a bit small and this seems much better than my current one.
March 5th, 2007 at 1:17 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3
Who wouldn’t want a new phone? Heck, a smart phone at that. I’d love a smart phone. Never owned one.
March 5th, 2007 at 1:18 pm
13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light
This seems like a cool and useful device. My father-in-law is an avid camper so I’d get brownie points if I could lend him something like this.
March 5th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset – This seems like I could use this for a number of things. I live in NYC and it’s really frigid right now, so I would love to be able to listen to my music while keeping my ears nice and toasty. Plus, the city noise is extremely loud and these headphones seem like a good way to eliminate/reduce that noise.
March 6th, 2007 at 1:10 am
I’d throw my hat into the ring for the UltraBattery, number 22. Adding together my phone, Axim, Bluetooth headphones, all the phones used by friends and family (which naturally fall under my auspices), and whatever sundry other small tech gadgets I’ve forgotten, the care and feeding has gotten a bit out of control. The Ultrabattery would be just the sort of thing to stick in my laptop bag, along with a few neccessary cables, to guarantee happiness and electrical power for all.
March 6th, 2007 at 8:33 am
I am desperately hoping to win #1… my SMT5600 has bit the dust and I’m lost without my Smartphone. Unfortunately (boo hoo) my job was just yanked out from under me and a new $400 phone is not in my foreseeable future.
…Joe K.
March 6th, 2007 at 9:22 am
1. i-mate JAQ3
Right now Im using a Verizon v325 phone which is pretty much lacking in features. And before that the Verizon v60c. They were good phones but lack features. JAQ3 looks to have tons of features and wish to switch to GSM provider. Thanks for the opportunity at this great contest!
March 6th, 2007 at 10:52 am
#2 Tom Bihn bag. My current bag is coming apart at the seams. It’s just a matter of time before its contents are all over the sidewalk.
March 6th, 2007 at 10:55 am
#1 iMate JAQ3. I’d love to surprise my wife for her birthday next month with a replacement for her Treo.
March 6th, 2007 at 11:18 am
Spectec SDW-820. Why? WiFi. That’s why.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:50 pm
17. Spectec SDW-820 SDIO WiFi Card
I would love this to connect while communiting between job and school.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:51 pm
22. Datexx UltraBattery
This would allow more time for studying instead of seeking outlets.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
15. Datexx SuperBattery
I would like this to save time seeking outlets to recharge, I would use the time for studying.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:54 pm
7. Jetart NP7600W Aluminum Notebook Cooler
Maybe my roommate would let me study more.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
1. i-mate JAQ3 – so I can give it to my wife. She’s a bit jealous of all my gadgets and i think she’d like some of her own. This would hit the spot.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:33 pm
13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light – because this light seems more functional than most of my other flashlights.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:34 pm
2. Tom Bihn ID Bag – because my wife and I need a bag to place all the baby stuff (AND my gadgets) in.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:35 pm
8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset – because I could use it and not disturb the baby.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:49 pm
I could use #8, the Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset. I love listening to music and would love this headset so I don’t disturb anyone in my household.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:51 pm
I could use #1, the i-mate JAQ3. I love smart phones and this one seems better than the one I currently own which is a few years old. If I get this, I can give my old one to my spouse.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:52 pm
I could always use another bag to carry things, so I’d like #2, the Tom Bihn ID Bag.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:54 pm
I live in the boondox away from any kind of civilization, so it gets quite dark at night. So #13, the TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light, would be quite useful when I need to walk the dog at night.
March 6th, 2007 at 8:08 pm
#21 The Zen 512mb please.
Not been getting any action from my girl lately. This as a gift might get me in the zone :p
My last post still has showed up
March 6th, 2007 at 8:42 pm

March 6th, 2007 at 11:22 pm
#1: I wont tell a lie, I really just want it that bad!
March 6th, 2007 at 11:45 pm
This is David’s new iPAQ 6945. I’m his very first PDA & need a good home for myself & some of my closest companions. I’ve really taken a shine to the #2, Tom Bihn ID Bag MSRP. Since David has a 5 yr old daughter & 15 month old twins (girl AND boy), I really need a place I can crawl into & call my home, away from the prying eyes & hands (to say nothing of the teething mouths)! Please send David the Tom Bihn ID bag & I’ll be MOST grateful! Oh, THANK YOU so VERY much! I’ll finally get a good night’s rest if you’ll please send it to him!
March 6th, 2007 at 11:52 pm
Me, again (David’s new iPAQ 6945, in case you’ve forgotten me so quickly). If someone cuter than I have won the Tom Bihn bag (requested in previous note), I’m sure I could be happy living in the #6. Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag. While I don’t guess it’s totally age appropriate for a 48 yr old man to be carrying around something called a “Teenage” anything, he’s pretty young at heart, and I could still use a great place to live. So, please, send me the Star Messenger Bag to protect me from the teething mouths of his 15 month old twins, & I’ll promise to try to keep the bag from being too attractive to his 5 yr old daughter!
Thanks,
iPAQ

March 7th, 2007 at 3:30 pm
#6 Bagaboo “Teenage Dirtbag” Star Messenger Bag – because I love that Wheatus song and I’d love to have a computer bag that is the polar opposite of the drab, black, boring one my company provided with my laptop. The last thing I want to do is blend in with the corporate drones at work.
March 7th, 2007 at 5:41 pm

#22 – Datexx UltraBattery – to keep the juice flowing as well
March 8th, 2007 at 7:59 am
#1 The i-Mate JAQ3 please.
Reason: No contests are ever for “Everyone, Everywhere…”, and just the fact that this one is (for people like me who are not in UK, US or Canada), might as well try for the best prize.
Besides been wanting to upgrade from my i-Mate SP5 and have been torn between going for a HTC s620 or the JAQ3. This giveaway would make the choice for me
March 8th, 2007 at 8:04 am

March 9th, 2007 at 6:12 pm
This last one I’ll have to be greedy and keep it for myself if I win it. I’d love to own a smart phone; however, I do promise to give my dad my fairly new (only a few months old) RAZR phone if I do win this.
March 10th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
I could definitely utilize 1) i-mate JAQ3 on my business trips. My company really ought to pay for such a device, but they’re a bit cheap.
March 10th, 2007 at 6:51 pm

Help me out and get me started right. With the imate I can dump my IPAQ 4700 as well.
Thanks
Todd
March 11th, 2007 at 12:22 pm
#11. My Zune really needs a proper outfit, and just in case the Vaja case falls through, I decided the Belkin folio wouldn’t be half bad (I prefer the Vaja! but can’t argue with a give-away!) Thank you!
March 11th, 2007 at 8:12 pm
oh! I want to beg for something else, which I just realized you had!
I have been told that sd-card holders are just perfect for storing nintendo DS games. I have just a few games, but I never remember to grab them when I grab my ds because they are usually put away in their game boxes (my room tends to be a mess, if I left them lying around, they would either get lost or broken XD). With this little keychain, I could carry my games around easily–and when I go on trips, it could be changed into a camera-card holder. love!
18. Proporta SD Key chain MSRP
March 11th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
Can contributors enter? tee-hee – I’d love to get my hands on the Zune Vaja Balance case. Ever since I signed up for the Zune Pass, I’ve fallen in love with my Zune again, but I’m not a fan of its brown colour. A snazzy orange case should do the trick!
March 12th, 2007 at 1:22 pm
14. Brando 1GB Mona Lisa USB Flash Card.

March 12th, 2007 at 10:22 pm

No one at my work has this so they’d be jealous of me.
March 12th, 2007 at 10:24 pm

March 13th, 2007 at 6:38 am

Judie, Let me add my voice to the chorus of thank yous for a great giveaway! I just got a Zune for Christmas and it’s caseless, so the #5 Vaja Balance Zune Case would be greatly appreciated!
March 13th, 2007 at 4:08 pm
I would also like to be entered for the #17 Spectec SDW-820 SDIO WiFi Card. My wife is jealous of my built-in wifi and I’d like to give her this for her ipaq 1945.
March 13th, 2007 at 4:12 pm
Lastly, the #2 Tom Bihn ID bag looks great and would hold all of my portable radio recording equipment when on the “road”. Thanks!
March 13th, 2007 at 9:42 pm
Why not give me #1 i-mate JAQ3? I’d like it b/c I create software and would love to test out some of my stuff on this bad boy.
March 13th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
Give me the #2. Tom Bihn ID Bag. I’m always on the go and this would be so useful.
March 13th, 2007 at 9:45 pm

March 13th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
Why do I want #13. TerraLUX WorkStar60 LED Work Light? Because it’s something that most anyone can use probably on a weekly basis.
March 13th, 2007 at 10:04 pm
I would like to win the phone: the i-mate JAQ3 (#1).
I’d find it neat to own something that you can place in your pocket which could do so much more than a computer they made a few decades ago that took up an entire room.
March 13th, 2007 at 10:07 pm
I’d like to win the headphones: #8. Skullcandy MFM Integrated 512MB MP3 Player Headset

March 14th, 2007 at 5:41 am

#1 (i-mate JAQ3)for my wife. She’s always wanted to integrate everything. A WM5 phone does it all. She had an IPAQ (never used it), a phone, and an MP3 player. She keeps telling me that she’d like everything in one device. Tough to justify the cost. Free is easy!

#17 (Spectec SDW-820 SDIO WiFi Card ) for myself. I’m a gearhead. Technically I have a CF Wifi card already; hope I didn’t disqualify myself. All the new stuff seems to be loosing the CF slot so I’ll have to aquire one when I switch up to a WM6 device (no timeline). I’ve also been admiring the Sepctec SDG 810 SD GPS with microSD slot integrated. If I had the SDW-820, I could have the best of both worlds. (Maybe sell/donate the CF Wifi

I am asking for the item #1 (i-mate JAQ3)
Hi, It has been a while and I am coming back again. Last time, I only asked for the Tom Bihn ID Bag and thought that was the only thing I really need. But things changed. Last weekend, I broke my wife’s T-mobile MDA by accident. Now, she is really mad at me. I really need to get something for her. So, I come back here, and ask if I can have the item #1. i-mate JAQ3? I really hope I can do something for my wife to replace her broken MDA (by the way, that was all my fault). Anyway, thank a lot for your consideration. Thanks! I hope it is not too late to ask.

I’d like to win #1. i-mate JAQ3!
I’m alkways jotting things down on paper and always losing those notes. If I had this phone, I could place my notes into the phone and because I usually carry my phone anywhere I go, I’ll always have my notes.
March 14th, 2007 at 5:04 pm
If someone else win the phone, then I’d like to get the #2. Tom Bihn ID Bag.
