I’ve been spouting the benefits of Pocket PC Techs for YEARS.  Leonard has done a great job building a very value-added business. He’s been able to fill a need, and change with the industry as its changed.  A while ago, I had a Compaq iPAQ device fall off a Vaja Belt Case.  I gave Leonard a call and he was able to fix the device. I wrote a two part column series on the whole experience for pocketnow.com, back in the day when I had a column called Apples and Oranges.  The columns are a bit dated, but they do a great job outlining the kind of quality service you get when you work with Pocket PC Techs.  You can see the two columns here:

Post Cards from the Edge Part 1: Goodbye Cruel World!

Post Cards from the Edge: iPAQ Suicide Hotline, Can I Help You?

When I got on the phone and actually spoke to Leonard, we had one heck of a laugh.  It wasn’t “funny;” but we both needed a set of Depends by the time we were done.  He is such a great guy!

Anyway, do you have a broken i-mate device?? If so, I bet you’re wondering where you might send it for repairs.  Until recently, you had to ship it to Dubai of all places!  When you have a device here in the states, and have to send it to Dubai for repairs, you bump into all sorts of trouble.  Import/Export rules, encryption regulations, etc.  Oy!  What a MESS!  Now, thankfully, that’s all been resolved. You can now send your problematic i-mate device directly to PPCTechs, and they can fix it!  They’re an authorized i-mate Service Center.
