OneNote Gets a Full Once-Over by Clinton

Ever since I got my T4215 Tablet PC, I have kept meaning to start using the included Microsoft OneNote software…really! Well, now that I have seen Clinton’s new review of Microsoft’s OneNote Mobile at Clinton Fitch (DOT) Com!, I have no excuse not to give both programs a try. Well yeah, there are a few requirements: Running Office 2007 Ultimate or Home & Student Edition? Check. Pocket PC? Check.  Nope – I was right – no excuses.

So why would any of us want to try the program?

Clinton says, “The new mobile version allows you to create, edit and view OneNote files that you have created either on your PC and synchronized with your Windows Mobile device or on the device itself.  While it does not have the robustness of PhatWare’s PhatNotes (see [his] review of PhatNotes here), it is a lower cost alternative and achieves the desired goal:  Organized notes!”

And in other news…I would like to welcome Clinton Fitch to the Gear Diary Team! He has been a contributor almost since our site began, but he is now a full-fledged card carrying member of our merry band. What an honor to have another Mobian on the Team, who also happens to be a Microsoft MVP; Clinton, we are happy to have you! :-D

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
