Joe from bookofjoe just emailed me with his solution for those that want a minimalistic, cheap, light, and what he considers to be the “best” money clip.
Looks an awful lot like a fancy paperclip, doesn’t it? Well, that’s because it is.
Joe says, “I learned of its existence many years ago in an article about Procter & Gamble, in which the writer noted that this particular paper clip was the one chosen by P&G for use throughout its corporate headquarters in Cincinnati because of its ability to hold securely up to 20 sheets of paper.”
With the staggering price of 1.27 cents each, or $1.27 for a box of 100, Joe may have just found the gift that virtually anyone could afford to give.
I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
Careful! Montblanc et al will be manufacturing look alikes before you know it!

Great idea but I need some weight to keep my cash down in the bottom of my pocket. I still use a leather covered magnetic type. Maybe I could epoxy a rock to one of these clips ? And sell ‘em at craft shows !
