MEDC: Tell Them Derek Sent You

Posted on 06 April 2007 by

If you’ve been wondering how you might be able to afford the $1300 entry fee for Microsoft’s Mobile and Embedded Developers Conference (MEDC) this year, Derek Snyder has sent an offer you might not be able to refuse. For a limited time, you can get $500 off the fee if you give them the ”secret code”. ;-)

Tell Them Derek Sent You!

How do you get the discount? According to Derek’s post at moGadget, “Register at this site with the RSVP code DEREKSENTYOU to receive the $800 price point (a sizable $500 discount off the regular price). Hurry though, this will only last until April 13.”

In case you haven’t got a clue as to what MEDC is, this description was taken directly from their official site:

Mobile and Embedded DevCon (MEDC) is a global connected community of events focused on collaborative learning, shared knowledge and practical hands-on development featuring more than 130 technical sessions and 70 labs. This annual event is tailored for the developers, IT professionals and business professionals who are looking to innovate and scale their mobile and or embedded development investments, applications and solutions.

I get the feeling that there will be some very interesting topics discussed and some very futuristic ideas will be explored. If I have one more friend ask if I am going to go, I might just do it! Ha! ;-)

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

So are you going? I hear the MIX event is going to be pretty special, though I don’t think any more tickets are available.

Nah…I can’t. Life is getting in the way, but I wish I could. :-)
