I have had the Samsung BlackJack review unit for a few days, and I decided to buy one for myself because I like it so much. Mine arrived today which I can use with my 3 SIM. I ordered the European version of the BlackJack, the SGH-i600, which has the 2100Mhz UMTS/HSDPA band instead of 850/1900Mhz. It also includes WiFi and a VGA camera on the front for video calling.
Otherwise they are very similar, only differing in some markings on the case.
As you can see I have the extended battery on the BlackJack. I am very disappointed that an extended battery was not included with the i600, only a second standard battery. I have been very unimpressed with the battery life of the standard battery, so I’d say I will pickup an extended battery off eBay pretty quick.
The i600 includes Samsung’s new “Card Wheel” home screen, which has separate “cards” for messaging, Windows Media Player, Speed Dial, Recent Photos and Calendar. With the scroll wheel on the side it works great!
My BlackJack review will be a combination review of both devices, highlighing some of the differences, but largely the devices are the same. Look forward to that review coming up soon!!

Dude..!
DE-VICE envy! I am seriously thining about getting one of these, especially since the Blackjack is supposed to get a WM6 upgrade later this year. I’d like to have a small device, with a keyboard that is a bit more usable than the Treo 750 keyboard, and still has 3G. This might be it!

I got it over the Treo because I was having a few stability issues, and I wanted something thinner. Even with the extended battery it is considerably thinner than the Treo, and with the standard its amazing!
Very happy with both the Blackjack and the i600. Very similar except for a few software and hardware tweaks. The Blackjack I have doesn’t seem to have some of the software features the i600 has, not to mention WiFi, both things that I’d say the carriers requested. I will cover all these differences in the review.
