“Following the crowd-pleasing preview of its upcoming Glofiish X800 – its first Pocket PC Phone to feature 3.5G connectivity, Windows Mobile® 6, and a VGA display – at CeBIT 2007, E-TEN has announced the new Glofiish X500+ aimed at consumers and business professionals seeking one of the latest high-featured all-in-one Pocket PC Phones but who don’t yet need or have access to 3.5G connectivity. One of the highlight features of the Glofiish X500+ is its VGA display which offers up to four times the resolution of previous E-TEN handsets. With more pixels on the screen, images and movies viewed on the X500+ are sharper and show more detail making the X500+ the first choice for enjoying mobile multimedia. Additionally, the X500+ includes a 2-magapixel camera allowing users to capture high-resolution photographs and record home-video.”
ETEN is just busy! They have not only announced the X800, the VGA successor to their X700 PPC Phone that I reviewed for pocketnow.com, here; but now the X500+. This device builds on the success of the X500; but adds VGA and WM6 Professional. It also includes a new, custom app called NameCard Manager that allows you to take a picture of a business card and then employs OCR to recognize the text and extract the information into Contacts. Now THAT’s sweet!
