Bionic Woman Full Trailer Released

Posted on 16 May 2007 by

When I got home this evening and logged onto YouTube to check my channel subscriptions, there was a big surprise waiting for me… NBC had just uploaded the full trailer for the remake of The Bionic Woman. This 4 minute, 48 second look at the new story is a real jaw dropper. The new story is darker and has more action in it, well just click on the video and see for yourself.

Now that you have seen the video… here are some interesting tidbits. The overall feeling of the trailer has a familiar feel to me and I discovered why when I clicked on the “(more)” link in the description box. The new series is a “re-imagination” of the original by David Eick, who did the new Battlestar Galactica. Judging from the trailer the dark story style appears to be about the same in both series in my opinion, and it makes for more realism.

Battlestar fans, who watch the trailer will also notice that Katee Sackhoff (Captain Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace, Battlestar Galactica) appears near the end of the trailer as the “first Bionic Woman”. A search of IMBD.com comfirms this as it lists under her filmography, “”The Bionic Woman” …. Sarah (1 episode, 2007) – Pilot (2007) TV Episode”.

Based on what I see in the trailer, they have got a good start with fresh ideas to retell the Bionic Woman story to a new generation. I really, really hope that they work into the storyline, the evil scientist with his army of Fembots (Yeah, I know, I am obsessed with the Fembots :-P ).

Hah-ha. That looks totally awsome. But does anyone remember when Steve Austin (the original Bionic Man) fought the fembots. :) I can’t wait!

I dont remember the Bionic Man vs Fembots. But this clip I found on YouTube from the 3 part cross over arc shows him and robot Oscar duking it out. Oh, and you gotta check out the end of the clip, scary!
