My Treo 750 would get warm when using it for over 30mins of continuous web surfing, and my BlackJack is exactly the same. One thing I never really did with my Treo was use it as a modem. I did occasionally, but not for an extended period. Since getting my BlackJack and MacBook Pro connected up over BT PAN, and having the 1GB X-Series plan, I have used it a fair bit over the last few days as a Bluetooth modem. What I didn’t realise is just how hot these things can get!! Just sitting here on my bag after about 45mins it has gotten SO hot that it felt like it was burning my ear when I answered a phone call.
I can understand that it would be warm considering how thin it is, but I never would have expected it to be this bad!

Judie, believe me when I say this, it is not unusual for any of these devices to get rather “warm” The 8125 and the 8525 from Cingular both do it as well.
Here is an idea, if you gets to hot, dunk it into some water, that should cool it off.

Mitchell, you and I had talked about it before – but I actually burned my right ear with the Treo 700wx while on a long phone conversation. These PDA Phones do get hot!

5-10min calls are fine, but long ones do get a bit warm
