As a teen in the 80′s, I was a big fan of The Transformers cartoons, making sure to catch every episode. When news surfaced that a live action movie was in the plans, this fanboy was like WOW they cant be serious?!? For years they have been teasing fans with the prospect of a live action movie, and it’s finally here - due for release this summer on July 4th.
The final trailer has been released a few days ago, and it gives us all a better look at the robots in disguise. The movie looks like a super duper blockbuster instant hit.
Allen is a computer technician with experience spanning MS-DOS to present. Having been a Star Trek fan all of his life has given him a love for technology. Tech toys and gadgets are also a weakness of his.
Allen also loves video games, especially the classics and is a big Nintendo portable gaming fanboy and has his DS with him everyday so that he can get his gaming fix daily. He can also be considered a couch potato as he is addicted to watching TV, especially the Sci Fi Channel with its B-movies.
Oh holy cow! I hope they didn’t just show all the “good stuff”, because Transformers’ special effects look amazing!

Well, Judie… there is still more “good stuff”, which I saw on various Transformers websites in the form of spy photos throughout 2006 while they were filming. FYI, not all the robot scenes have CGI only, the effects crew built life size robots for some of the sequences in the film.
A big happy for Transformers fans, Peter Cullen who did the voice of the Optimus Prime in the cartoon is doing the voice in this movie.
The movie also wont be a giant robot fest like the cartoon version movie that came out in 1986. Only a select few Autobots and Decepticons are going to be in the live action movie.
Confirmed bots in the movie are ——– Autobots ——– Optimus Prime Bumble Bee Ironhide Jazz Ratchet
And I just saw on one of the fan sites, that one of the co-stars was signed on for the sequel and the director is pushing the studio for a 3rd movie.

Allen, Looking forward to this movie myself having grownup with the same cartoons you did as well, even remember taking my cousins to see the original movie when it came out in ’86. Hopefully the trailer is just the tip of the iceberg for this movie.
