Astraware Solitaire Is Aces!

Posted on 13 June 2007 by

I’ve been playing this game for about a week, and Clinton and I plan plan to do a dually on it, but in the meantime you just have to check out Doug Goldring’s review of Astraware‘s Solitaire on JAMM.

Yeah, we’ve all been burned by lame Solitaire games in the past, but this isn’t one of them!

As Doug says:

From the moment you start the game, however, you can plainly see that this is a different kind of Solitaire experience. Rather than the standard list of games, Astraware offers a full color wheel of fortune, with stops at each of the twelve games. Included in this pack are:

  • Klondike
  • Freecell
  • Spider
  • Calculation
  • Golf
  • Idiot’s Delight
  • Canfield
  • Clock
  • Four Seasons
  • Yukon
  • Sultan’s Harem
  • Pyramid

Game play is smooth on my HTC Advantage, fun, and other than the fact that I didn’t know how to play half of these games when I got started, it’s kept me entertained. Heck, I would want it for Pyramid alone, but the other games are great, too!

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

It’s not related but I can’t help myself to comment on the Axim. I have the same and I can’t help but notice how much it reminds me of the iPhone…
