eSoft Interactivehas offered Gear Diary two copies of their new game Earth Day to use in a give away. This game will work on Palm OS, Windows Mobile Professional (Pocket PC), and Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone) devices.
In order to be considered, you just need to reply to this question in the comments section following this post:
Of all the available form factor’s now available, which do you prefer for your mobile phone.
For example – there are clamshell , candybar, sliding keyboard, full QWERTY faced…you get the idea. Tell us what you like.
I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
Candybar, it is easy to use, and pocket-able, but it must have an easy on/off keypad lock.

I still like Pocket PC Phones (QWERTY) the best (I do enjoy my JAQ3) which is finding more use now that I’ve switched to AT&T – prior I was just using it as a Pocket PC as it had no phone service. Granted they are not as rugged as Smartphones, but with the touchscreen, you can pretty much run anything that Windows Mobile has to offer. With the StyleTap platform – then that means you can run palm as well. If I had to take something that was a phone only, give me a Nokia brick 3300 or so – perfect for all situations and is rugged and can survive falls from off the roof (not that I’m on the roof a lot).

Slide-out keyboard! I own a HTC Wizard and I like the big screen, combined with the “hidden” but accessible full QWERTY keyborad. If they’d just put the stylus hole in the top instead of at the bottom, the stylus wouldn’t fall out so often! :S
