Feed the BoneyBoy

Posted on 17 June 2007 by

I don’t remember ever hearing about this game, so when Allistair Lee of Mobile View sent me an email announcing his review of Mobisation‘s BoneyBoy, I had to check it out.

Allistair says, “BoneyBoy is a classical Jump’n’ Run that offers a “multi-layer scrolling, rendered animations and backgrounds and a stunning sound. You have to guide the little pygmy Boneyboy through the jungle to clear each stage. Shinny from liane to liane, jump from platform to platform and collect various items that help you to come forward. But watch out: many opponents and traps will give you a hard time. Think about: you will explore a world full of danger.”"

mmmm, pretty graphics!

Allistair also says, “There are a total of 30 levels, including bonus levels, that BoneyBoy must progressed through to get to his evil twin. Info boards are found along the level to give you some tips on what to do. There are a few bonus levels to help you with bonuses such as extra life. This definitely will be important as you progresses through thethe higher levels due to the tough enemies and traps. Enemies you might say? Well, I am refering to the bees, spiders and those pesky bugs that are around to stop BoneyBoy from proceeding any further. I’ve seen a couple of little guys with antennas too, aliens might sound more appropriate here. Maybe some mutations took place with some of the bugs. *Shrug* Who knows? Throwing some coconuts at them should solve the ‘bug’(and alien) problem. Traps and obstacles can be avoided by jumping, heli-gliding, or solving a simple puzzle to remove them.”

This game looks pretty interesting; I’m going to check it out. In the meantime, you can read the rest of Allistair’s review here.

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
