Since it is Christmas morning*, I thought it would be fun for us to open Gear Diary cards and presents together…

The first item is a card that came from Belkin. I honestly didn’t expect anything further from Jackie and Melody, because they had already sent a really cute box of chocolates. There will be no picture of those because they went home with mom; they were beautiful, though. ;-)

So I received this card, which at first glance was quite pretty…

…but it wasn’t until I opened it that I saw how truly special it was. I would like to thank Belkin for this thoughtful gift; it was very appreciated. :-)

The next item is a lovely card from Matthew with Mobile Edge.

Matthew has always been a great guy to work with, and this year he surprised me by offering my choice of a Mobile Edge bag for Christmas.

I chose the great big Alienware Deluxe Backpack because it is large enough to handle my 17″ Toshiba X205…

(gorgeously h-u-g-e, isn’t it?!)

…but once Jerry saw it, it was promptly stolen. :-P

Developer One sent a card, which I thought was extremely sweet since I haven’t reviewed any of their software in ages.

Ali with BeyzaCASES sent a gorgeous Turkish Coffee Set; the sugar holder was broken in transit from Turkey, but its lid and the rest of the set survived. I can’t wait to brew a cup! :-D

I thought this grinning Santa on the Comunicano (a PR company) card was cute…

Mingo and Eva from PDair sent a festive package…

Attached to the front was a cute Christmas card…

…with really sweet sentiments included.

Inside the red bag was a package wrapped in elven paper…

…with three red PDair boxes inside!

Awww! Three keyring wristlets in black and silver leather…

…each inscribed with “Especially for you,” with a clear slot to hold a picture or SD memory card. I’ve offered to share them with the team. :-)

Alison from Astraware sent wintry well-wishes…

And since I’ll have no little robotic Pleosaur under the tree this year to delight me and be the subject of tons of sickeningly cute videos…what was my big gadgety Christmas gift for 2007?

Jerry got me an iPhone.

Yep, I have been assimilated…for now. ;-)

I would also like to thank Allen for the huge tin of Mrs. Fields’ cookies, Chris C. for the massive Zingerman’s brownie sampler**, Wayne for the recorded live Hall & Oates CD (how cool is that?), Clinton for the Jack Johnson CD and Wonder Woman DVD set, and the rest of the Gear Diary Team for another wonderful Christmas and the constant email conversations that we share behind the scenes…if Gear Diary readers only knew the stories behind some of our stories! ;-)

Merry Christmas everyone!! Have a wonderful holiday and a fabulous 2008!

*okay, I didn’t really put this all together and post it Christmas morning. I did set it to post Christmas morning, though. :-)
** what the heck guys? Do I look like I need fattening up? You’re freaking killing me! nom nom nom
