Time for a Coffee Break

Posted on 12 February 2008 by

Stop what you are doing for just a moment, and enjoy these pictures I just received in an email from my mother…

It read, “There is a restaurant in Vancouver, there are actually three, where they dress up the lattes. You get to watch them create the pictures.”

What can be done with coffee, cream, milk & imagination.

space…the final frontier…

I did a little bit of research, Googling for “coffee art Canada” and found the following…

There is indeed at least one such coffeehouse, called Caffè Artigiano. They have five locations, and “Caffè Artigiano’s award winning baristas specialize in coffee art, creating a unique rosetta, tulip or heart atop of each cappuccino and latte served.”

I suspect that since there are more than the named designs on these coffees, and since there are several different styles of cups that these are pictures from several different coffee houses which offer a similar “service”.

There’s at least one customer review (Dessert Comes First) out there on how awesome the lattés Caffè Artigiano serves are; I would love to visit and find out for myself!

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
