It works very well as a ham radio computer. I needed a serial port so I notched out the far left corner of the lid and installed the short serial port cable that came with the motherboard. It plugs in right at the back and the cable runs along the back and out the side. Works great! Complete with a 15" panel monitor, a small outboard DVD burner, a 6 port USB expansion bus and a detatched USB keyboard/mouse combo, this computer is hard to beat and takes up very little space. It runs very cool too.

I have been using an Artigo for almost a year now with 1 gb RAM and win XP. It works very well as a ham radio computer. 2. Did you ever measure the power? Wattmeter/ammeter?
3. Did you try out the PowerSaver cpufreq driver?

1. Does the fan spin all the time? Does it complain if you try to boot up without the fan plugged in?<br

A little on the pricey side, considering you can usually get a full eMachines system with a monitor for a few dollars more (after half a dozen mail-in rebates anyway). But I guess you're paying for the relatively low volume production, integrated components and ultra-tiny dimensions.

Very nice!
