Well, CeBit 2008 is underway, and that can only mean one thing: No, Gizmodo is NOT running around turning off televisions (we presume). No, it means a lot of your favorite device manufacturers are making significant announcements, and Navigon is not to be left out.
We have reviewed some of Navigon’s older units (sorry folks, due to the data outage, I cannot offer links), and now they are back with the all new NAVIGON 2100 max and NAVIGON 2120 max personal navigation devices.
Key features include:
- widescreen 4:3 ratio
- spoken driving directions
- 3D guidance
- DirectHelp — a feature that pinpoints a user’s l
ocation and provides instant links to nearby services such as hospitals, pharmacies, and roadside assistance. - Access to the Fresh Maps service, which provides you with up to 12 map and POI updates in three years (at an extra cost)
The NAVIGON 2100 max ships with maps of the continental U.S. while the NAVIGON 2120 max features maps of the U.S. and Canada. The standard NAVIGON 2100 max device sells online and in stores for $299 (MSRP). The 2120 max is limited to distribution in Canada and sells for $329 CAD.
