I’ll be doing this to my Pleo, Plindar, a little bit later this week, but most of you with baby dino robots won’t want to wait. Ugobe has released its first update for Pleo, and it looks to be pretty significant.
According to Ugobe, this update will “will allow Pleo to be more animated, interactive, and expressive through a wider range of responses, motions, and sounds. ” All this without changing your Pleosaur’s personality.
Sounds great, right? Get it here.
This first software update will allow Pleo to be more animated, interactive, and expressive through a wider range of responses, motions, and sounds.
More specifically, with this update:
Software updates are free and Pleo owners can easily download the updates at http:/www.pleoworld.com/shadow/updates. The file can then be transferred to Pleo using an SD card or USB port.

Judie: I take it the update is a re-flashing of the internal program memory.
I still want a Pleo too.
Also, I just checked out the update website. Interesting thing they mention… “After updating, Pleo will be lethargic for several minutes. Coax him back into his regular self by petting him and hanging out with him”.
