Will Microsoft’s WorldWide Telescope Project Launch Them Further Into Schools?

Posted on 04 March 2008 by

Have you read the buzz about the Microsoft WorldWide Telescope? I became aware of this via a mysterious post by blogger Robert Scoble titled Microsoft Researcher’s make me cry where he talks about a secretive Microsoft project. His readers correctly guessed in the comments the secret would be unveiled as a WorldWide Telescope project. My skeptical self says there’s no way Microsoft makes this (easily) accessible on anything but Microsoft software (already there’s chatter that Mac can’t handle the graphics…). Could this be a way for Microsoft to nudge Apple out of the Education market? Watch the video below to see for yourself what the buzz is about.
