It really does work well. I was even able to play the Java game "Scrabulous" on Facebook on the N810, no other handheld I have tried can do that!

I like the N810 alot. One thing I am on the look out for is a way to run more than 4 GB of storage on it. I haven't seen MiniSDHC bigger than 4 GB and heard issues with the MiniSD adapter for MicroSDHC.
On the other hand, the MacBook Air isn't the same class as the N810. They are both useful in some of the same situations, but when you want the bigger screen, the Air or just a plain old MacBook would be better.

Mitchell: Cool! <img

Joel: I will be posting an article about the N810 soon, it is a very good device. Best web browser I have seen on a handheld device.
Doug: I installed Windows XP on the Air no problem. I used an old DVD drive I had lying around, stuck it into a USB case and away it went!! XP runs very nicely on this machine. So nicely in fact that my dad is buying one!

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

Joel: I will be posting an article about the N810 soon, it is a very good device. It’s total mugger bait
Around here, smaller just means easier to steal and the cooler something looks, the better the chance it’s going to get swiped. It’s one of the reasons I don’t park my BMW on my street. The other reason is because I don’t have a BMW. </blockquote>
I think it would be sad to live somewhere where my choice of gear had to depend upon whether or not I was afraid of mugging, but I guess that is a consideration. :???:

It’s total mugger bait

Around here, smaller just means easier to steal and the cooler something looks, the better the chance it’s going to get swiped. Except to test, I would probably just leave Mac OS X as the main OS on any Mac and the run some sort of VM software for the Linux and Windows stuff. Parallels or VM Ware Fusion would be my pics with VirtualBox being the first I try probably. Dualbooting sucks...unless you game and then it's probably ok. However, I don't play PC games. Too busy USING PC's and Macs for useful things like....blogging and commenting! ;)
As most VM stuff I have seen hasn't been able to boot Mac OS X, then I would choose that as the main OS. Besides, I can do alot of what I do with Linux on Mac OS X as well since it has UNIX underpinnings. Shell scripting is easy on it too.

Meh. I think I read over in some Mac forum about a guy running ALL THREE OSs on his MacBook Pro...amazing!

Ah, well my bad then. <img

http://macprolinux.blogspot.com/2007/10/installing-ubuntu-710-gutsy-on-mac-pro.html
:D
The biggest issue happens to be the fact Macs use EFI instead of Bios.
The only issue I suspect with the MacBook Air might be if the Linux CD would boot off of the USB DVD drive. Going over the network for DVD access won't work for OS install.....at least not for Linux anyway.

Oh really?

<a
