Instablogs Social News Sites Officially Launch

Posted on 19 March 2008 by

This announcement gives me great personal pleasure to post – because it concerns my friend Nandini. For those of you who missed my interview with her, please check it out and then come back…I’ll wait. :-)

Nandini and her husband Ankit have had a goal in mind for some time, and watching them accomplish it is giving me great personal pleasure. I’ll let you peek in on the press release…

We have been in a stealth mode working for the launch of our new social news sites, officially launching today, Instablogs

I hope that you will like it and spread the word. I know you are busy, and have already seen plenty of social news sites. But just spend a few seconds on the website, and I am sure you will find it unique and very useful.

I am sending you few links to start with, but feel free to explore any area.

1. HomePage – www.instablogs.com
2. Local Communities – www.instablogs.com/united-states
3. (We have over 200 very active citizen journalists and bloggers in over 45 countries and growing everyday)
4. Channels -  www.instablogs.com/technology/
5. Local vs Global Opinions

We have a small FAQ/Tour page as well – www.instablogs.com/tour/

I started Instablogs with Ankit, two years ago. Both of us contributed USD $500. It’s now a site with over 1 million page views and over 15k registered members. I am just talking about Instablogs.com, our blog network (which includes blogs like www.bornrich.org) receives much more pageviews than that.

One of the unique features of Instablogs is the global content. We have active contributors from almost all of the countries, not just one or two.

I would really appreciate if you can give us a link from your blog, and forward it to few of your friends.

Consider it done, hon! Congratulations, and I wish the best of luck to you, Ankit and the Instablogs Team! :-D

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford
