What Can You Do With a Buck?

Posted on 01 April 2008 by

A US Dollar might not be worth a whole heck of a lot anymore, but it still has value. As shown by these amazing creations lifted from an email mom just sent, sometimes it is better to save your dollars than to spend them.

Enjoy…

A cuddly teddy bear…

image2.jpg

Would you say that this is a Pilgrim? Or a man in topcoat and cape?

image3.jpg

I sure wish that the email would have included instructions; I really like this bat.

image4.jpg

Gorilla? Or Buddha?

image5.jpg

I wish I knew how to fold this dog…

image6.jpg

A Cheshire Cat…

image7.jpg

A pretty kitty…

image8.jpg

I like this fraidy-cat, too. :-)

image9.jpg

It’s amazing how they make faces out of the Dollar’s printing?

image10.jpg

I’m not sure what this one is, any ideas?

image11.jpg

An alligator…

image12.jpg

What kind of snake has ears? Or is it a Chinese Dragon?

image13.jpg

A clever elephant…

image14.jpg

An impish elf…

image15.jpg

A whirling dervish…

image16.jpg

A flamingo…

image17.jpg

I think this one is a lady, but I am not sure about “her” upper half… It’s Jar-Jar Binks!

image18.jpg

A kitten…another one I wish I had the instructions for!

image19.jpg

Two owls…

image20.jpg

A koala? A sugarbaby? Your guess is as good as mine. :-)

image21.jpg

A stingray…

image22.jpg

A turkey…

image23.jpg

And a cobra.

Here are some sites I found that have Dollar origami instructions…

I’m not sure who the original artist was or where these photos originally came from, but I did find a blog with many of these same creations and some others; perhaps they received the same email.

Save those Dollars!

I started Gear Diary on September 30, 2006, and my goal was that this not be an easily labeled site. We all have gear that we use daily – some of it electronic and some of it organic. I think it is fascinating to explore the equipment that makes our lives easier, more entertaining, more productive, and more manageable. My hope is that Gear Diary visitors will find this site to be a comfortable and friendly place to discuss interesting topics – and not only those that are tech related, as well as a location to discover various types of gear – whatever that term may end up implying – that they never knew existed. My specialty is in-depth reviews written in a layman’s terms, because everyone can understand technology, sometimes it just takes a little translating. +Judie Stanford

I can’t believe I’m actually going to say this or that I’m admitting that I know this, but I think that “lady” you were wondering about may be Jar-Jar Binks from Star Wars.

I swear I’m not this nerdy. It’s just a curse that I notice stuff like this…
