As is tradition, the Olympic torch started its journey to the host city (Bejing, China) in Olympia Greece. The journey began on March 24, 2008 and is scheduled to end in Bejing on August 6, 2008. Presently it is in England (making news) where it will continue traveling around the world. The torch’s tour lasts 130 days and 85,100 miles - making it the longest in history. This year there will even be an attempt to carry the torch to the top of Mt. Everest! The Google Maps team have set up a site allowing you to track the torch by plotting it’s path on a Google Map. They’ve also included special code so you can embed the map in your own web site, or you can track the torch in Google Earth. Link: http://maps.google.com/help/maps/torchrelay/

Not sure - I just stumbled on it last night. I was able to get into the site on my iPhone but I’m not a Google Earth user so I didn’t test that either.

Blame Judie. She asked me to try to post a Comment. This is the only post I wanted to comment about.
Boycott the China Olympics!
