I’m in the UK but they let me pay via UK paypal as long as I was shipping to a US address (my almost-in-laws got the Senseo). Just in case anyone is wondering whether this could work as a cheap gift!

Last time I looked they were $65.

[I got my first one with my e-mail address, my name and home address;
the second with my wife's e-mail, name and our home address;
the third with my name, my work e-mail, and home address;
this was back when they didn't charge for shipping/
...I gave one of these to a neighbor, so I'm not hogging 3,

The do come with five $20 off coupons to give to your friends, so depending on what their retail price is, it might be a similar cost to buy one locally.

Here’s an idea that might work in my house….I’ll always make double coffee and make single teas!

Or…..just order up another single pod holder from the factory.

My pod holder with my blue unit (here at work) is dark blue, almost black.
I think the one at home is black, and that is a black unit.
I am not sure about the other colors; and I didn’t see that in the brochier.

You should have gotten two pod holders with your Senseo, the single has one coffee mug on the handle, the double has two mugs on the handle.

Oh, the two different pod holders are for regulr sized, and double sized pods. Also, the EcoPod I use was designed for the double pod holder.
If you put something too small in the double pod holder, the water runs around the pod and you get a very weak cup of coffee or tea. So, only use the double if you are using something that fills it.

I’ve made tea after coffee (a few times), to rinse things out I just made a single cup of plain water. Tossed that, and put a regular tea bag in the single pod holder. Works like a charm.

Joel, it looks like there is a separate hardware filter system that you insert to use with tea, versus coffee, so I don’t think it would flavor anything.

To be safe, I suppose you could also run a water cycle through it like you do when you use it the first time.

Have you fixed a cup a of tea after a cup of ciffee and vice versa? I am wondering if the coffee flavors the tea and the tea the coffee??

I have some good coffee, but I don’t use the Senseo pods (I really don’t like them). There are plenty of on-line sources (like BetterCoffee.com) for good coffee with great variety.

I have been using EcoPods (eBay) and some espresso from the local ethnic product mart, sometimes some Hawaiian and other coffee from Costco. I keep enjoying it, especially since the alternative is the coffee in the cafeteria (which is like $1.20 for so-so coffee, or about $2.?? for Starbuck’s non-barista (cafeteria) coffee).

I know it is not what I was getting from my espresso machine, but I couldn’t have an espresso machine here at work, and it is also a LOT easier to make and clean up.

I ditched my senseo a couple of years ago, and bought a decent espresso maker (a Francis Francis X1 by Illy).

Senseo is fun for a while, but after a while you’ll get bored with it’s taste. Every single cup of coffee has the same taste.

I have a few of these (gave one to a neighbor, one at home, one at work). They are pretty good, and the price is good too (not as good as I got = mine were free).
http://www.SingleServeCoffee.com has a ton of details on this and other single serve coffee brewers; including a bunch of places to get pods;
I also found a place (on eBay) that sells pod holders, so I fill them with my own coffee (save a little $ on the pods).

I had an inexpensive espresso machine, which I used every morning. Then I got two Senseo’s (one for me, one for my wife) and moved the espresso machine into storage and use the Senseo exclusively (we do have a big pot in case we need to make a whole pot at once).

The deal is really based on you indicating in the questionnaire that you will make a reasonable attempt to share your enjoyment of this machine with others.

So do I but I can’t afford to buy a pound of good espresso beans nor can I drink that pound by myself before it’s stale.

This, like my Home Cafe, works wonderfully and let’s me have coffee quicker than waiting for a full pot PLUS the pot won’t go stale since I am the only one who drinks it.

I don’t have a Senseo, but I have a Black and Decker Home Cafe and it’s awesome. I wouldn’t mind having a Senseo as sometimes their pods are easier to find.
