Heads up to anyone eyeing a MacBook Pro or MacBook purchase. Appleinsider is circulating a rumor that a major re-design of Apple’s two flagship computers is due by the third quarter of 2008. Both products went through a minor refresh in February which saw increased processor speed and larger hard drives. The site is speculating that the MacBook will shed its plastic case in favor of a more eco-friendly aluminum and that both machines will sport new Montevina based processors from Intel’s upcoming Centrino 2 platform.
