My friend Tom just sent me an email about law enforcement technology that automatically reads license plates from passing (and parked) cars. With this information the police instantly scan for wanted or stolen vehicles. The technology seems to have been around for a while (the video dates back to December 2006). Anyone else notice that the Sargent doesn’t wear a seatbelt the entire time he’s driving? Must be so he can dash out and catch crooks faster.
