1. I have only been successful in getting one crop (tomatoes) out of the unit before the pump broke; and I lost one crop of pesto basil as a result;
2. On February 25 I received an e-mail from AeroGarden telling me that my replacement pump (free) was on its way;
3. I followed up with them today (March 19) because it hasn't arrived yet. I was told that the replacement pumps haven't even arrived at their offices yet... "they're still on the water" and I should "hopefully" have it by the end of the month.
I told Mike that I should not have received that e-mail then. Also, it would be in the best interest of America to use American works to get their products; not China. He told me that they save money this way! I was livid. Their customer service is deplorable--they even tell you that sometimes you have to wait on the phone an hour before getting to speak to someone. Today I waited 15 minutes before someone picked up the phone.
After I get my replacement pump (hopefully!) I do not plan to make any further purchases directly through AeroGarden. If the damned thing ends up working for a while, I'll just go to my local nursery and buy seeds there!

Unlike the original poster, I have been greatly disappointed with my AeroGarden.

1. Aside from being a gadget lover, I love plants and plant decors as well. Great review Wayne! :)

If these were only available in my country I’d buy dozens. It stacks on the wall like that because of the 3 shelf kit as part of that above bundle. It was extremely well built and engineered. I expected some poorly made plastic, instead, solid aluminum and steel, with serious screws and everything fit perfectly. Very high quality construction and visually appealing.

Judie,<br

I didn't even realize that you could stack and hang them on a wall like that; I had only seen the countertop models. Great review! :-)

Wow…that was just amazing! Now I am convinced! Although I am sad to hear the basil takes so long. Our pet lizard eats herbs and greens and this seems a fun way to keep her fed as well (as well as the human part of my family!) Thanks.

I have wanted one of these since their first infomercial but I was hesitant to do so without a recommendation. Now I am convinced!
