Today’s Open Source Podcast of the Week is no longer in production, but for newbie users it will still be a invaluable resource. I am talking about none other than The Linux Link Tech Show’s guest this week, Chess Griffin and the Linux Reality Podcast.

Chess has officially hung up his microphone on the Linux Reality podcast after 100 episodes, yet all of the episodes are currently available for download on the Linux Reality website.
From show reports, talks on The GIMP, RSS Readers, Slackware and more, Chess has provided a great resource to those who are looking at using Linux for the first time. Anyone who want a great show where they can get some wonderful Linux basics better check out this podcast!
Now like I said, Chess has finished the Linux reality podcast, but he still intends to work with the Linux community. His intention is to work on code and other things that fit within his schedule while he tries to raise his family. Check out all 100 episodes of the Linux Reality podcast, and you will definitely find a wealth of information that is still relevant today.
Also, tune into the Linux Link Tech Show tonight at 8:30 PM EDT to hear Chess, find out what he’s up to, and also participate in the show’s IRC. I will be there as well! It’s a lot of fun and as I said, Chess is a great guy and a wonderful proponent of Open Source software.
Oh and for those who don’t know, he’s NOT in IT for a profession. Yes you can be a regular user and use Linux every day. Chess certainly does!
