Hallmark introduced a line of recordable greeting cards just in time for Mother’s Day (May 11, 2008). These cards allow for recording a personalized 10 second message followed by a corny 15-second music clip. The cards are available now in Hallmark stores for $5.99. The songs available include: Tanya Tucker’s “Here’s Some Love”, Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart” as well as Tag Team’s “Whoomp! There It Is”. After you’ve recorded your message, pull out a paper tab and the recording is made permanent (this prevents Mom from hearing the vulgar cursing prior greetings of all other shoppers who tested the card in the store). Click on through for a demonstration of the new card works.
I located a YouTube video that shows exactly how the card works. Though I’m not sure recording a greeting card voice message requires an instructional video, here it is.

I am pretty sure I will see you and the kids in line at Hallmark on the 10th!!!!! What mom would not love one of these? Small, cute, and it captures their childs voice forever! awwww.
It sure beats getting another gadget that will get plugged in on the counter and become a space waster!!!! Now really, how many small kitchen appliances does one realy need?
