Free WinRar v3.62 For Windows

Slickdeal.net spotlights a giveaway of WinRAR version 3.62. Granted, it’s not the latest release (version 3.71 is the latest – adding Vista compatibility – details) – but it’s a legal licensed copy. There are a few simple steps to request your license key.

PC Welt (German version of PC World) is the site hosting the giveaway. To start, navigate to PC Welt here, and complete the fields as follows:

When you receive a confirmation email, click on the second URL in the body of the email.

Which brings you to this page where you download the license key (rarkey.rar).

All you need to do now is save the key into the same folder where you installed WinRAR 3.62 (This is usually c:\program files\winrar).

The end result? A fully licensed and functioning copy of WinRAR 3.62.
