That would have been a good idea, and I tried to do this after I saw your comment.  Unfortunately, I already boxed up the camera to send it back (my time with it actually ends today) and I did not use it in 5 MP mode very often.
But the pictures I used in this post were all 10 MP pictures.  That means, those will be the best quality pictures you will get.
