Google today launched their Google Health web service. This site has been in a private test mode for a little over a year. I’m not really sure what benefit I’d get from having all my health records in a centralized database that a for-profit corporation controls. With your permission Google will import your health records from participating providers making them a one-stop source for information about your health. Maybe over time the benefits to this will become more apparent. For now it just seems, well, creepy.
