Nationwide Insurance reports something that we already knew (or suspected). Even though 98% of Americans claim to be “safe drivers” – up to 35% of us always multi-task in the car – while 37% text while driving (guilty). To demonstrate the danger of texting while driving, Nationwide (now title sponsor of what used to be called the NASCAR Bush Series) will be providing NASCAR simulators at various races where fans can experience first hand the impact that text and Blackberry messaging hove on their driving skills.
