Is it just a slow news day or a sign of a “market top” when top blogs run stories spotlighting the fact that (hang onto your chair) …. people are lining up outside the Apple Fifth Ave store. But that’s not all. Another big blog fires back with a story about an empty AT&T box. Amazingly 15+ sites pile on and simultaneously “report” on the forming lines at Apple. The silly stories themselves are not as amazing as the fact that Techmeme, which is looked upon as the “compilation of the best blog stuff”, dutifully picks up the stories on its front page (where they still remained as of this morning). While my report of this is somewhat in jest, I do wonder whether this signals a topping out of blogging – or simply a very slow news week. That’s all the time I have to devote to this subject as I must return to more serious writing about two headed holstein calf plaques, dog food samples at Sam’s club and making a video about New York City’s $110,000 automatic toilet.

You know I was wondering why it was news and all. Did the person even TRY to talk to anyone? Maybe the line is for iPhones….ANY iPhones since they’ve been out of stock for a while….or maybe the pic is old. I mean sheesh! How is it news!?!?!??!

If we are talking about it, it is news.
