IQ Test Say’s Smartest Users Run Firefox On A Mac – Dumbest Have Opera on Unknown Device

If you believe an online site can accurately predict your IQ after only 10 questions, you may be interested in what their statistics claim. After each test they compile information about test takers such as the browser type, which web site the test taker came from and the country. The site then lists a constantly updated summary of the smartest countries, people and web site referrers. I’m holding off on taking the test so as not to skew the results too badly. Head over to IQ League and see how your IQ holds up against the other idiots that waste time on such things the rest of the web.

lol – just did the test. Since I was the only (or first) from GearDiary to do the test, I am on first position in the Gear Diary group.

Problem is that I don’t understand all English words, so a question about acuse or obtuse triangles, or about an anemometer, is abracadabra to me.

Anyway, I’m on position 40 in the “Smartest user of IE on WinNT” group. I hope I increase the statistics for that group a bit. :)

Yay – thanks for taking the test! I am kinda disappointed in Wayne for not doing it first (or if he did, not sharing his results). ;-)

    I guess I had better do it, too… :-P

I’d love to see the average GearDiary statistics if a few people do the test by clicking the link here! :)

So what was your score? So I know what I am up against before I get started…no pressure, right?

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

    Never mind! I found your 112… :-D

  • http://spmwinkel.wordpress.com spmwinkel

112,something. Of course, no pressure. We can blame differences on all sorts of things: it’s evening here, afternoon where you are (judging from the comment time on GD), things like that. ;)

And of course it’s just 10 questions so one might simply get (un)lucky.

Some non-commenting people also took the test already. :)

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Yep – I just went in and added the GD link in Wayne’s post. Ok – going to take the test now before I psyche myself out.

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Ok…so I took the test and it looks like the 10 questions is just a gimmick. They really want you to take the test repeatedly so they can get a better snapshot. I did it 5 times (I think), and I’m done for the day. :-P

They seem to keep whatever your last score is as your current score, so I have no idea how it all factors, but whatever. It was fun. :-)

  • http://spmwinkel.wordpress.com spmwinkel

Cool, we’re on # 17 in the Smartest Websites list. :)

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Yeah, I just feel obligated to take the test another time to get my score higher. ;-)

  • http://spmwinkel.wordpress.com spmwinkel

Hehe maybe get together with some people and discuss about the right answers? Takes away the fair play though. ;)

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Like I said – I took it 5 times already. They change EVERY time. ;-) As they should. ;-)

Should I be more concerned that this website has misplaced my location by a couple hundred miles (they place me in Birmingham, Alabama rather than in Mobile where I really am), or should I worry more about the fact that they spell “Congratulations” incorrectly (thy spell it “congradulations”?

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Shhhhh Chris, just go with it. ;-) They have me in Virginia. But nice score you’ve got there! :-)

  • Christopher Gavula

    VA? Cool!

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Yeah, I may have to visit now. ;-)

  • http://spmwinkel.wordpress.com spmwinkel

Judie – check here for the scoring rules. http://www.iqleague.com/iq-scores

Just did some more tests to eliminate the penalty.
We’re in the top 10 of smartest websites!

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Ah, so that’s the secret. :-)

I see us as #20…but I like the sound of top 10 much better. ;-)

  • http://www.geardiary.com Judie Lipsett

Hey – we are up to #12 now…rock on! :-D

It was fun, but my head hurts now… kinda like taking eLearning courses for work.
