Blah…..still AT&T. Imagine what would happen if a CDMA iPhone was released. Considering the biggest provider in January will be VZW with the Alltel merger complete.

Hmm — I’m seeing $39 voice plus $30 data (up $10 ) for a total minimum of $69.

The rollover minutes are only good for a year too — they have a rolling 12 month expiration. Use them within that period or lose them.

I’m disappointed that AT&T used this opportunity to impose a price hike while Apple also seems to be restricting severely the streaming apps you can use on the iphone.

For $30 you can get 500 minutes and unlimited EVDO Rev A on Sprint SERO. Granted you want have an iPhone that works on it – but you’ll be more than $30 per month richer.

I am with Verizon. I just talked with the AT&T help, and they said data was included with the 450 plan….plus 200 text messages for $49.99. Does that sound right?

I do love the roll-over minutes.

Who is your current provider? I can tell you that I use the 450 minutes/month plan and have close to 2000 “rollover” minutes. What’s great about rollover is that in months where you don’t make as many calls you bank minutes in the event you go over. I came close last month to going over my 450, but the rollover excess kept me from blinking an eye…and any minutes I did use from my bank of extra I will replenish this month since I only used around 200.

And the 20.00 data plan for the iPhone is far and away a great deal. Its not as good as Sprint SERO, but for run of the mill smartphone plans it’s very competitive.

4 years….yikes!!! I am just so tempted to jump ship. The plans are not outrageous either. I can get the lower minute plan for about $49.99 a month. I use a lot of ‘in minutes’, so I don’t know about that charge.

AT&T is exclusive for another 4 years. And if you’re wondering about CDMA availability (Verizon or Sprint), that’s even unlikely AFTER the 4 years are up. Both carriers are set to go through some major network transmutations in the next few years, and given that a majority of the world is GSM, and the only major CDMA market is in the US, I wouldn’t be shocked if Apple decided it was cheaper to make one iPhone for the world, and just wait for the dust to settle on the LTE and WiMax rollouts for Sprint and VZW.
